New York Yankees fans can possibly be looking at captain Aaron Judge’s comeback from postseason slump after first career RBI World Series hit. Game 4 was a deciding game for both the Pinstripes and the Los Angeles Dodgers, as the latter only needed one more victory to win the World Series.
However, the Yanks turned the tide around on Tuesday night at the Yankee Stadium. They won the game 11-4 as key players like Anthony Volpe, Alex Verdugo, Austin Wells, and Gleyber Torres stepped up big time.
The Yankee Stadium was booming with cheers and celebrations as the team won their first game in the 2024 World Series after falling 3-0 in Game 3. Aaron Judge stepped on the plate in the eighth inning after a Juan Soto double hitter, boosting the outfielder back to home for the win.
The look he gave after shooting off the ball made former Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz wonder whether he has found his spark. Since the start of the World Series, Judge has been under constant scrutiny from fans after failing time and again to back up the Yankees.

He further added that sometimes all a player needs to get back his confidence and boost the team for “a better situation tomorrow.” This postseason has been harsh on the captain as he couldn’t help but watch the team lose three games against the Dodgers in the World Series.
Given that he is back in his form, things could change big time. Keeping in perspective his enormous records during the regular season, it’ll give the pinstripes a huge boost and a possible winning chance at the Fall Classic.
Stephen A. Smith harshly criticized Aaron Judge for failing performance
Sports radio host Stephen A. Smith recently commented on Aaron Judge’s World Series performance on ESPN First Take. Smith did not have a favorable impression of Judge like most others watching the 2024 Fall Classic.
Since the start of the postseason, the New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge has been in a slump, much to everyone’s dismay. He failed to pull the team back from a 3-0 defeat in the World Series until Game 4 on Tuesday.
The Yanks won 11-4 against the Los Angeles Dodgers to gain a 3-1 score in WS. However, prior to Judge’s RBI in Game 4, Smith said that NY “won’t forget” Judge’s performance if the team loses in the World Series.

He further added that fans cannot stop criticizing him because he performed so well during the regular season but failed on the big stage. Judge himself admitted to having troubles in the World Series and how hard it is for him to come out from the slump.
Following the Game 4 win, and Judge’s contribution to the game, the fans and players are hoping it’ll be the spark their captain needs. The next game will be the deciding point whether Aaron Judge has come out from his slump or not. The baseball world will be watching.
