Virat Kohli was announced today as the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Decade and the Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The apex body of cricket has been announcing the winners of awards recognizing performers over the course of this decade. While Kohli walked home with the awards for ODIs and overall, Steve Smith won it for Tests and Rashid Khan clinched it for T20Is.

Kohli’s dominance has been unmatched over the course of this decade and in the period, the Indian skipper has progressed from a young and promising cricketer into a modern great of the game. Since the announcement of the awards, congratulatory messages and posts for Kohli have been flooding social media and Australian batsman David Warner has been one of those who have joined in to congratulate the batting ace.

‘No one will guess this’ – David Warner posts face-swap video

David Warner has proven to be one of the most active cricketers on social media. While replying to a plethora of fan comments on his comments section, he has also made a name for himself for posting hilarious videos of himself doing TikTok dances to Indian songs and also ‘face-swap’ videos where his own face is used in scenes of a popular Indian movie.

In the same vein, Warner took to Instagram today to congratulate Virat Kohli on his ICC Awards by posting a face-swap video wherein his own face was used in the Indian cricketer’s body. He captioned the post saying, “no one will guess this player of the decade @virat.kohli #congrats #funny #faceswap #seriousplayer #gun #welldeserved (sic).” This post has gone viral on social media and Warner has been taking to the comments section to reply to fans’ comments as well. In one such comment Warner said, “I had to do this he’s one of the best of our era (sic).

David Warner is currently recovering from a groin injury which ruled him out for the first two Tests against India. Given the team’s batting failures, Australia would want their star opener to return to the side soon but his participation in the third Test continues to remain in doubt.
