Jaylen Brown has been enjoying his life as a Boston Celtics player as well as an NBA professional. The past few months have been particularly memorable for Brown and the Celtics, as he celebrated winning the 2024 NBA title with his team. This achievement was followed by a special visit to the White House, where President Joe Biden congratulated Brown and his teammates on their accomplishment.

However, another highlight for Brown was meeting a legend from the world of science—William “Bill” Nye, famously known as Bill Nye the Science Guy. A few weeks ago, Brown took to the social media platform X, expressing a heartfelt request.

Twenty days after the tweet, he only had to play the Wizards in Washington. Nye was there at Capital One Arena during the Celtics’ 108-96 victory. Brown’s dream came true as he met his ‘inspiration’ and exchanged words with him. He once again took to X to share his feelings.

Brown recently sat down with the media to discuss NBA duties but took some time to speak about Nye and their recent meetup during the Washington Wizards game.

“I think I was just up thinking about just, the educational experience and it just crossed my mind. I was like, ‘Man I gotta meet this guy.’ His contributions to STEM and STEAM have been amazing and like, he made learning like fun growing up. I used to be excited when the teacher used to say we’re watching Bill Nye today.
