Days after getting booed by Dallas fans, Travis Kelce admits wanting to play for the Cowboys while growing up

Travis Kelce went to Dallas, Texas to engage in some playoff sporting events during his time off. For once he made it to game 3 of the Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves Conference Finals. However, he was met with boos from the crowd as he was introduced.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar, however, revealed he wanted to play for the Dallas Cowboys growing up. While speaking with his brother Jason Kelce on their podcast, New Heights, the now-retired center asked his younger brother about his experience watching the NBA Conference Finals.

I got booed twice. It's whatever. I get it. I'm not from Dallas, just kinda like an innocent bystander. I don't know. Maybe they just don't like the Chiefs, I don't know. I grew up a huge Jason Witten appreciator. The Cowboys were always the f**king boys when they had Deion, and Emmitt. I also wanted to be a Cowboy. I f**cked up the interview.

Travis Kelce said

The tight end revealed he messed up the interview with the Dallas Cowboys. Else he would have been met with cheers instead of boos.

However, his brother Jason Kelce called the bluff on this claim. Knowing him growing up, the now-retired center thinks his tight end sibling just made that up to stick it back to the booing Mavericks fans. Travis Kelce got booed because he is from Cleveland and plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

In contrast, his teammate Patrick Mahomes got loud cheers as he is a Texas native and has been a long-term Dallas Mavericks supporter. It all seems that the younger Kelce was just talking about it to mess with the supporters.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end is just enjoying his time off from everything. After completing the OTAs, it seems he is spending time with Patrick Mahomes and his family. As Kelce first went to watch the Dallas Stars in action. Then on the second day, he was at this Mavericks game.

It suggests that he preferred to spend time near his teammates despite not having any football or acting to tend to. At the same time, he is not with his girlfriend Taylor Swift as she continues her Eras Tour in Europe. However, it has been confirmed that he will be doing a lot of back-and-forth travelling to meet up with her.

It seems the 3-time Super Bowl champion is just trying to balance everything in life. Work with the Chiefs, party with Mahomes, attend games, and then go on to meet and spend time with Swift. All before returning to try for another Super Bowl.
