Baltimore Ravens has long been known for its dominant defense and run-heavy approach, but times have changed. In the past years, quarterback Lamar Jackson, who’s known for being a dual threat has changed the narrative about the AFC North team.

The Baltimore Ravens have developed into one of the NFL’s most balanced and dynamic offenses – led by Lamar Jackson and Todd Monken directing the plays behind the scenes. The shift has seen the rise of the Ravens as an attractive destination for top wide receivers including the star rusher Derrick Henry.

Lamar being the leader of this team is part of the reason that I came here. What he stands for and how he has led this team and this organization to the playoffs in multiple years since he’s been here… How he’s led any receiving group he’s had so I think that played a big part in me coming here for sure.

DeAndre Hopkins said during his introductory press conference

The duo reportedly hasn’t wasted any time connecting. Hopkins admitted that they are eager to start working together. The veteran receiver emphasized that there wasn’t much to discuss—just a shared determination to get to work and win games.

Beyond Lamar Jackson, DeAndre Hopkins appreciates the Ravens’ competitive culture. He believes the team reflects his own mentality and playing style. He expressed that the culture and the organization are top-tier including the coach John Harbaugh and everyone beneath him.

From the head coach down, I feel like everyone, s***, they compete, they’re dogs, and I feel like this organization and this team matches who I am.

The wideout has some previous connections with the leading duo of the Ravens. Five years ago, Hopkins posed for a picture with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry at the NFL Honors ceremony when Jackson won MVP. He jokingly asked how many touchdowns the trio could combine for. Now, with two of them reunited in Baltimore, reporters brought up that moment.

Hopefully enough to win a lot of games. I don’t have a number, but hopefully more than a little bit

DeAndre Hopkins answered

With DeAndre Hopkins in tow, the Baltimore Ravens will be looking forward to avenging the losses from the past few years. Lamar Jackson, who has been criticized for the lack of a Lombardi, now can utilize Hopkins as an additional weapon to target in crucial times. Furthermore, Hopkins could also rub yet another ex-team with a new quarterback this time.

Although he had a dip in his production last season, Hopkins has proven himself to be quite ideal in the red zone, an area the Ravens need to address with utmost importance.
