IPL 2021: Twitter reacts to Deepak Chahar’s stunning four-wicket haul against Punjab Kings

Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) bowling in their first match against Delhi Capitals (DC) was not up to the mark at all and the bowlers struggled against the marauding DC openers at the Wankhede Stadium. However, in the second game, the DC game was long forgotten as the Men in Yellow produced a terrific bowling performance in the Powerplay that saw them pick up a total of four wickets.

It was Deepak Chahar who was the wrecker-in-chief as he ran through the Punjab Kings (PBKS) top order. Apart from KL Rahul who was run-out thanks to a bit of fielding brilliance from Ravindra Jadeja, the other batters fell prey to Chahar who came up with a spell of excellent control, swing and bounce. His performance all but ensured that CSK would not have a stiff target to chase.

Deepak Chahar removed Mayank Agarwal in the very first over with an out-swinger that knocked the stumps. He then followed by removing the dangerous Chris Gayle with a knuckle ball which came about courtesy a superb catch by Jadeja. Nicholas Pooran was then removed for a duck with a bounce before Deepak Hooda was sent back after the Powerplay as he poked at a delivery outside off.
