Despite it being an accepted norm, a recent update from the television industry has made fans fall over their feet. A rather unexpected face has entered one of India’s most controversial TV shows. Bigg Boss, a show run by Salman Khan is one of the most talked about shows.

Often stars from various industries who have a slightly controversial background take part in aspiration to win the final prize. However, this time around, the appearance of India bowler Deepak Chahar has turned a lot more heads towards the show.

He had reportedly come to drop his sister Malti Chahar who will be taking part as a wild card entry in the show. A recent advertisement from Colors TV showed Salman Khan introducing Deepak Chahar with all his accolades in cricket.

Khan also asked Chahar about what he thinks is more difficult between playing his sport and winning the Bigg Boss event. To that, the Indian cricketer quickly said that winning the entertainment event was a far bigger challenge than the sport of cricket.

Chahar currently is not part of the Indian cricket set-up, despite once being the lead bowler of the T20I side. Now the bowler is primarily focusing on IPL cricket. He was a part of the Chennai Super Kings for 7 years before moving to the Mumbai Indians for the 2025 season.

Deepak Chahar’s sister Malti has been in the news recently as she reportedly set to join Bigg Boss as a wild card entry. Malti is an actress and director in the Indian film industry. She was born in Agra and raised in Lucknow.

Educationally, Malti has done well as she holds a degree in Software Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Lucknow. Malti also has an athletic background with accolades at the national level in Jump events and Shot-put.

She often posts pictures with her younger brother Deepak on her social media platforms. Malti was a finalist in Femina Miss India back in 2014, and she went on to win the title of Miss Photogenic at Femina Miss India Delhi the same year.

If rumors are to be believed she will be joining as the second wildcard of the famous show. The first being singer Shehbaz Badesha. The current season of the show has been airing since the end of August and with this development of the cricketer’s family taking part, it is certain to attract more eyeballs.
