On Colorado's Pro Day Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders went after an NFL scout and forbade his athletes from listening to him.

Deion Sanders leaves no stone unturned to protect his student-athletes. He even has the confidence to stop a scout in his tracks.

Colorado’s much-awaited Pro Day took place this week. Coaches, general managers, scouts, and executives flocked to witness quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter in action.

Sanders and Hunter may be the main dishes, but they weren’t the only seniors trying to impress the queue of people. Jimmy Horn Jr., Shilo Sanders, LaJohntay Wester, Davon Hayes, Will Shepperd, and a few others showed their athleticism through various drills and skill moves.

Meanwhile, a scout gathered a few prospects and was preparing to run a drill when Coach Deion Sanders hurried his 57-year-old body to the zone. A video clip of the exact moment caught Sanders shutting down the scout.

“You all start how y’all want to start. **** this man here. Do y’all thing. Do what you all do,” Deion Sanders said.

It’s unclear why Sanders was unhappy with the scout (wearing a Denver Broncos hoodie). The video went viral instantly, and social media detectives are still on the lookout for the reason.

A day after the video circulated on social media, Deion Sanders Jr. posted a reply that caught everyone’s attention. He explained the reason behind his dad’s confrontation with the scout.

He was talking about u can’t use the white line but u can … u can take up all the white line as u want.

Deion Sanders says Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are the surest bets in the draft

Both Shedeur and Travis Hunter looked really good during their drills. FOX Sports insider Jordan Schultz spoke with a top-level executive who attended the Buffaloes’ Pro Day about Sanders, and they sounded impressed.

I just think he throws a really catchable ball. Accuracy is one thing, but catch-ability is another. Shedeur’s got both. And watching him live today, there was more power — more velocity — than I expected. He’s definitely a pocket guy, but athletic enough to buy time and make plays. His offensive line was always an issue in college, but turnovers never were.

Jordan Schultz on Shedeur Sanders

Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot asked Deion Sanders about Shedeur and Hunter’s draft positions. According to him, the Colorado boys are the most qualified athletes in this year’s draft, and they should be the 1 and 2 picks.

They’re not a risk. Shedeur’s been doing it year after year after year after year. Shedeur has led college football in this, this, [and] this. Travis, there ain’t nobody like Travis. The surest bets in this draft — I’m not a betting man, I’m a godly man — but the surest bets in this draft are those two.

It means Sanders wants the Titans and the Browns to draft Shedeur and Hunter. However, at the same time, he has no qualms about which team they ended up playing for because they will be good either way.

Shedeur spoke with ESPN’s Field Yates after his turn at Pro Day concluded. He suggested the NFL teams avoid missing out on him.

“All I need is an opportunity… Whatever franchise wants to change their franchise, then it’s no doubt who to go with. I’ve done it over and over and over. You’ll be a fool not to pick me.”

Sanders claimed he has a similar trait that makes a good quarterback great.

“Let me ask you a question: What’s the most important trait of a quarterback? [It’s] consistency?” Shedeur Sanders said.

Sanders had a phenomenal two years in Colorado. He threw for 7,364 yards and 64 touchdowns. Hunter played 21 games for the Buffs, recording 149 receptions for 1800+ yards and 19 touchdowns in the offense. In the defense, he racked up 62 tackles and 7 interceptions.
