Deion Sanders made it clear that he doesn't want any funny business in the hotel room that can tarnish the university's reputation.

Deion Sanders will not tolerate any rash behavior from his Colorado Buffaloes players inside the team hotel before their highly anticipated Alamo Bowl showdown against the BYU Cougars. It includes smoking.
Coach Prime recently made it clear that he wants his team in the best shape and on their best behavior at the team hotel. It means they must be respectful to the staff and the surroundings of the establishment. More importantly, he set some ground rules that the players must follow, and the top of the list is no smoking.
Sanders warned his players that if he caught any smell leaking out of their rooms there would be severe repercussions.
You embarrass us and this university—you will not get a second chance to do it. If I smell smoke on any floor, or somebody tells me you’re smoking on that floor, that will be your last puff.
Deion Sanders told the Colorado Buffaloes players.

Sanders’ coaching earned much praise during the season but his role as a mentor and a father figure to his players derived respect as well. He wants to win but in the era of NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) headways, Sanders wants to keep it as genuine as possible for his team.
A lot of the Colorado players come from very poor backgrounds with various family problems and difficulties. Sanders recently made them aware that they are blessed to be alive and playing football which not many are able to do.
Some of y’all don’t realize how blessed you are. Your parents were about to give up when they found out they were pregnant with you. They weren’t ready, but they kept fighting.
Deion Sanders said.
Deion Sanders and Colorado on the cusp of creating history
Sanders and Colorado missed out on the BIG 12 Championship game by a minuscule margin but they have a great opportunity for retribution in the Alamo Bowl where they play against #17 BYU.

Colorado ended their campaign with a 52-0 shutout against conference old boys the Oklahoma State Cowboys and secured a 9-3 season. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders (Deion Sanders’ son) threw for 3,926 yards and 35 touchdowns, leading the team to new heights. Two-way star Travis Hunter made heads turn with his Heisman-winning performances.
While BYU has played in the Alamo Bowl twice in their history, this will be Colorado’s first appearance and they want to make it count. The Buffaloes are currently favorites to defeat the Cougars and enjoy their first bowl appearance since 2004 with a win.
