Drama seems to follow Shedeur Sanders, even when he is out of the media spotlight as the third-string QB on the Cleveland Browns. This time, the furor is about his potential decision not to want to be drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.
He has already faced a ton of trolling from fans after falling to the 5th round in this year’s draft. At a time when he touted himself to be the No. 1 overall pick, that fall seemed like a slap in his face.
Fans were ecstatic that he ended up becoming the third choice on a hapless Cleveland Browns team that decided they were better off with Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel as their first options.
Now, for him to reportedly turn down the chance to be drafted by the Ravens came as a bolt out of nowhere. Fans and analysts believe he shot himself in the foot for not getting the chance to learn behind two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.
The Colorado star has his reasons, as he knows he will be sitting on the bench for a long time if he goes to the Ravens. That is what his father, Deion Sanders, believes does not make sense for any developing QB.
How in the world can somebody fault him for saying on thinking, ‘Why in the world would I go back up Lamar for 10 more years?’ I’ve never sat on the bench and said, well I learned a lot today.

The Hall of Famer revealed that since he has played for the Ravens, he is on good terms with Ozzie Newsome. Therefore, it was a mutual understanding that led the franchise to move past his son.
Deion Sanders knows Shedeur Sanders will start for Browns this year
Deion Sanders’ tone about his son’s and their football careers has changed after the tumultuous draft. When speaking about Shedeur Sanders, he believes his son will play this season, as he said when revealing to Jason Kelce the advice he gave his son.

Be patient and be ready. You gotta be ready when it’s time. When it’s time, you are going to know. And it’s coming up. I got a prediction, I ain’t telling nobody. I got a feeling when it’s going to go down. It’s going to go down this year. He’s going to get a shot.

The Colorado Buffaloes’ head coach thinks his son will get a chance to play this season. It could be that either Flacco’s and Gabriel’s struggles will prompt the Browns to send Shedeur Sanders in.
Or, it could be that they struggle mightily enough that the franchise decides to give both its backups enough game time to evaluate them for the future. Either way, Deion Sanders believes his son will get his time to shine.
Super Bowl champions were interested in Shedeur Sanders
Shedeur Sanders dropped to the 5th round after many felt teams did not want to allow all the noise surrounding him to permeate their locker room.
Then, some felt the league, and the teams were doing their part to teach the young QB a lesson in humility. However, while speaking on New Heights, Deion Sanders revealed that a Super Bowl champion team was interested in his son.
Philly called us on draft day. They didn’t mention that, I just let a cat out the bag.
Deion Sanders revealed
This news surprised Eagles’ great Jason Kelce, who had no idea his team was interested in drafting the Colorado star. This means, after winning Super Bowl LIX, the franchise felt it would be a good idea to draft Shedeur Sanders to back up Jalen Hurts.
The 58-year-old did not divulge whether he and his son declined to go to Philadelphia. However, the mere interest could surprise many, as the 23-year-old‘s presence in that locker room would have sent fans and media into a frenzy.
