If history is any indication, Deion Sanders rarely spares someone who trolls his son, Shedeur Sanders, even if they are a big shot. Dov Kleiman, a popular NFL news breaker, felt the full brunt of Prime Time’s wrath after he posted a double-meaning headline featuring Shedeur.
On Wednesday, June 11, Kleiman shared a video of Sanders taking reps at the Cleveland Browns OTAs. During a 7v7 practice game, Sanders threw a dart to undrafted wide receiver Gage Larvadain (84) that earned much praise from his peers.
However, the video’s headline caught more attention than Sanders’ pass. Kleiman wrote, “Shedeur Sanders’ balls fit in the tightest holes. Pure precision and accuracy for the young star.”
Coach Prime did not appreciate Kleiman writing a double-meaning headline on Shedeur. Deion Sanders blocked Dov Kleiman on X.

Klieman is infamous for his parodical posts that sometimes blur the line between satire and vulgarity. Coach Prime could not fathom it and concluded that blocking Kleiman was the best option. Will his son follow in his footsteps? Only time will tell.
For the casuals, this wasn’t an isolated incident. Prime prioritizes keeping his kin safe from any sort of bad social media or media influence and negativity.
Before the start of his second year as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Prime refused to speak with senior Denver Post columnist Sean Keeler because he reportedly went overboard while criticizing Shedeur Sanders.
Despite banning Keeler, Prime later clarified that he’s not a hater.
I’m not negative to anybody in here… I’m not a hateful guy. I come with love. If anybody in here has had encounters with me, I don’t come with the bulljunk. I come with peace and joy.

Shedeur Sanders must block out and be the best version of himself on the football field
Sanders drew the short straw in the draft. Even though many projected him as a top 10 pick, Sanders reached a point where it appeared he might go undrafted. The Browns saved him by using their 144th overall pick.

Was it really a save, though? Sanders went from the frying pan to the fire because the Browns are infamously bad at developing young quarterbacks. On top of it, he must secure a roster spot by outperforming veterans Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.
Early signs are encouraging, but Sanders isn’t allowing the praise to affect his game because, at the end of the day, it’s the coach’s decision on who gets to be part of the roster and who doesn’t. Sanders has his feet firmly planted on the ground.

My goal is to be the best teammate and as polished as I can be… I view things as I got time… To be able to grow and mature, you know, and be able to understand the ins and outs of the defenses and be able to get the good insight from the vets in the room.

Sanders was electric in his final year of college. Despite taking 42 sacks, Sanders completed 353 passes (74% pass completion) for 4134 yards and 37 touchdowns, winning the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year Award.
