DeMar DeRozan says it was ‘dope’ to play alongside Chris Bosh for Toronto Raptors

Chris Bosh was an absolute beast during his time with the Toronto Raptors. Having played alongside a young DeMar DeRozan, many suggested they could take the franchise to another level. But as DeRozan entered his sophomore year, not having many seasons to gel up with Bosh, the former reveals he was thrilled to be on the same team as Bosh. Bosh left to form the Big 3 for the Miami Heat. But what if he stayed at the Raptors, would they have won a championship much earlier? 

In a recent interview DeRozan shared a story of his entering for his first training camp for the Raptors and seeing Chris Bosh practicing. He appeared on ‘All The Smoke’ podcast to narrate his experience playing alongside Bosh for a year. He revealed Bosh has naturally super talented than most of the players, even though they worked hard. 

“I always watched his work ethics” DeMar DeRozan on Chris Bosh 

DeMar said, “Man, it was amazing to be able to know that I was teaming up with, one of the dynamic players, all-stars. At the time, me being a rookie, obviously knowing and understanding his game, who he was and seeing his work ethic.” 

“I remember when I came in for training camp, he didn’t really do training camp. Because I think that summer, they had Olympics or something was going on… I always just used to watch his work ethic, even if he didn’t practice, how he approached the way when he was in the gym working out.” 

“… That year, even with him not knowing… by just watching his approach to the game, how he carried himself and everything he did. For me, it was dope to be able to play with Chris for a year.” 

While the organization does not have Chris Bosh or DeMar DeRozan anymore, they are still one of the top contenders in the league. With a disappointing exit from the playoffs in the last season, Kyle Lowry will be itching to lead the Raptors to a deep playoff run yet again.
