The Golden State Warriors signed Dennis Schroder in December 2024 from the Brooklyn Nets. Schroder was tipped to have a great season alongside the likes of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. However, things did not go as planned. The German star did not settle in quickly and found himself on the bench on several occasions.
Not only that, just months after signing with the Warriors, he was once again traded to the Detroit Pistons. Notably, the Warriors posted a farewell post that had several players who were traded to other teams, including Schroder. This act in particular did not go down well with the German, who thought, he deserved to have a separate post.
Dennis Schroder wrote in a now-famous remark beneath the post: “wasn’t even worth my own post huh? “Thanks too, though,” expressing his sense of being ignored by the organization. The remark immediately became popular and sparked a discussion among admirers.

Schroder, who has a fiery demeanor both on and off the court, was a member of the Warriors for a short time before leaving. He shot 37.5% from the floor and averaged 10.6 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.3 rebounds a game. This was while he was a member of the Warriors. Fans have responded to the situation in different ways.
Some fans felt that players should be recognized for their achievements on an individual basis, which justifies Schroder’s displeasure. Others believe that, given his little tenure with the squad, the remark comes across as petty. This season, the 31-year-old German was traded four times. He played for the Brooklyn Nets at the beginning of this season before being traded to the Warriors, Utah Jazz, and Detroit Pistons.

As part of the agreement, Schroder was then traded to the Utah Jazz, who then traded him to Detroit.
After a brief run with the Brooklyn Nets, Schroder was sent to the Warriors on December 15 and recently arrived in Golden State. He did not even finish 3 months in the Bay before being traded to another team this season.
Overall, Schroder is a part of his sixth trade of the previous year and his fourth of the season. The 31-year-old star was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2013 NBA Draft and has 12 years of experience. After Schroder’s brief tenure at Golden State, Detroit will be his 9th franchise in eight seasons.
