Denny Hamlin Makes Frightening Admission About NASCAR Charter Lawsuit

The NASCAR community at the moment is debating over two major topics, the playoffs format and the charter lawsuit. While the former issue won’t be solved anytime soon, the latter is set to enter its final chapter with the trial date coming soon. Amidst the drama, 23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin has made a concerning admission about the drama.
23XI and FRM filed a lawsuit against NASCAR at the start of the season, alleging monopoly. Over multiple court sessions, both sides have tasted losses and victories. Recently, the teams and NASCAR sat down for settlement talks, under the direction of judge Bell, but failed it get a resolution after having talks for two days.
Amidst this uncertainty, Joe Gibbs Racing veteran driver Denny Hamlin was quizzed about the court proceedings by the media. Taking about the settlement talks, he revealed that there was a positive discussion on day one, but things went south in the second day, causing the failure of the negotiations.
It went okay the first day, not great the second day. I don’t know. Didn’t end in any resolution, unfortunately.

Furthermore, the veteran racer asserted that both his lawyers and NASCAR seem confident about the arguments they made. Then talking about the consequences if the case went to trial, admitted that one of the two parties is committing a su**de mission, that will change the dynamic of the sport for everyone in the industry.
Both sides probably feel strong about their case. You sat in the court and heard the arguments. I’ll let you come up with your own opinion, but I think one of us is on a su**de mission.

In a separate conversation regarding the Martinsville Cup Series race, Denny Hamlin explained how significant the event it. He asserted that the race is a fair indicator of strength of team and driver, as often only the elite crews secure race wins.

It’s a fair indicator of strength of team and driver. It’s got a little bit more variability because sometimes the restarts can get outta control.

Further talking about the point, the veteran shared his expectations that it is going to be an impressive race. If the six drivers fighting for the championship-4 spot get in the mix in the last 30 laps, it’s going to be wild finish.
t depends on how many of these guys are up front in the first couple rows if we do have a restart inside 20-30 laps. But I think it’s a fair indicator of strength of car and driver.

The major factor that is going to challenge the drivers will the drama that is expected to occur on the restarts, especially on the final laps. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the JGR veteran and rest of his rivals this Sunday.
