Kamaru Usman had recently responded to steroid usage accusations laid against him by a “Youtube Dumba**” on the JRE Podcast. Many viewers rightly assumed that Usman was referring to Derek from More Plates More Dates not because he is a “Dumba**” but he usually is the one known for such videos on youtube.
Derek had made a series of videos on his channel More Plates More Dates, talking about what he suspected were injection marks, likely by steroid usage. Kamaru is not the only one featured as a substantial amount of his most popular videos feature MMA fighters. Hence he has a good following among the MMA Fandom at large.
It was this fact that even led him to have an appearance on the JRE Podcast where among many things they discussed Jon Jones’ history with steroids and being popped for steroids at large. Kamaru Usman had a recent appearance on Joe’s podcast and decided to respond to the “Youtube dumb**” by denouncing the alleged injection marks as “Non-cancerous Moles”
Derek from More Plates More Dates believes Kamaru Usman is on PEDs but it is not as easy to spot
Today Derek has finally caught up to the video and gave his response to what many thought, was a direct attack on him. After hearing Usman’s explanation about the alleged injection marks, Derek would point out that he himself never bought up the idea that those were injection marks, showing popular reddit posts that actually started the rumour.
He emphasized that on his channel, More Plates More Dates, he never talks in outright certainties and instead can only assume based on his knowledge. “I never said these marks are indicative of PEDs whatsoever, in fact I think it it’s almost entirely irrelevant to any assertion that he may be doing something, because at the end of the day are you going to be pinning oil based, anabolic steroids into your stomach fat? probably not” , he said as he progressed through the video and felt the former Champion was in fact not talking about him.
Later on he would realize that Kamaru was actually talking about another YouTuber, who is much more obscure, who also made a video that occasionally cited More Plates More Dates‘ commentary. What do you think of this entire controversy? Do you believe the Youtuber or Kamaru himself? Let us know!
