Derrick Lewis believes Jake Paul can beat Conor McGregor, but on one condition

The cross-sport bout has been the talk of the Combat Sport World, ever since Jake Paul's call out.

Jake Paul (L) and Conor McGregor (R)

“The Black Beast” Derrick Lewis believes that YouTube sensation Jake Paul can beat Conor McGregor in a boxing match, but one condition – It shouldn’t be a ‘motivated’ Conor. No one beats a ‘motivated’ Conor, Derrick revealed.

Jake Paul is making quite a name for himself as a professional boxer – he is currently 2-0 in his professional boxing career. After his recent stunning KO win over Ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, it is safe to say that, he is not to be taken lightly. Following his victory against Nate, Jake Paul expressed his desire to fight Dillon Danis, KSI, and even Conor McGregor; and he is also quite sure that he has the necessary skill sets to beat them in a boxing match.

Speaking of this, in an interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPN, Derrick Lewis spoke about his match against Curtis Blaydes being called off, before giving his opinion on a possible Jake Paul – Conor McGregor boxing bout.

‘Nobody beats ‘motivated’ Conor’ – Derrick Lewis

Derrick was quoted as saying, when asked who would win in a match between Jake Paul and Conor, “Who I think (would win) –Jake Paul or Conor? I think Jake Paul will win. But if it’s ‘motivated’ Conor, what I’ve been hearing, then I believe Conor will win. Nobody beats ‘motivated’ Conor.”

Jake Paul recently revealed that he has been training with the sparring partners of Caleb Plant and Canelo Alvarez and it will be exciting to see who his next opponent would be. Conor McGregor, on the other hand, is just a month away from his much awaited UFC return, he will be taking on Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. It is to be noted that Conor is 0-1 in his boxing career, having lost to the great Floyd Mayweather in his one and only professional boxing bout, so far.
