The UFC Heavyweight fighter Derrick Lewis won his last fight against Curtis Blaydes in a spectacular fashion and extended his win streak to 4 fights. With this win, he moved to number 2 in the Heavyweight rankings.

Francis Ngannou is ranked number 1 in the division and he is going to face Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 260. The winner of this match is being booked to face Jon Jones who is making his debut in the Heavyweight division.

Derrick Lewis is also excited to face Jon Jones. In his latest interview with Joe Rogan, Lewis says, “It’s good Jon Jones moving up to heavyweight, I picture myself fighting him one day, and I kind of know what his game plan would be if he ever faced me.”

“He would try to attack the legs a lot. I don’t think he really tries to take me down. He’ll try to keep his distance, then try to stay away,” Along with this Lewis doesn’t believe that Jones will bulk more for his Heavyweight move.

He added, “I don’t think so Jones trying to take Lewis down. I would love for a guy to get this close to me. I believe that’s their downfall when they get that close, I don’t think he should try to gain any more weight though.”

“I think his walk-around weight is good enough. I believe he walks around at 240, 235, something like that. I don’t think he should keep trying to gain weight or bulk up as much as he thinks he should.”

Derrick Lewis is also looking for his rematch with Francis Ngannou

Lewis holds a victory over Francis Ngannou and if he wins the title against Stipe Miocic, Lewis is ready for a rematch against him but he needs to negotiate the contract first. He added, “Right now, we’re just trying to renegotiate the contract and see where it goes from there. For me, I want to stay active.”

“I don’t want to be waiting around to fight anyone. I’m not young like I used to be. So I don’t want to wait around and fight for the title, or wait around to fight a certain opponent. So I’m willing to fight anyone who’s ready.”
