Never in his wildest dreams, LeSean McCoy must have seen Aaron Donald as the faster between the two of them. He was wide awake when it actually happened.

Bleacher Report posted a clip on X (previously Twitter) taken by former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver and McCoy’s teammate DeSean Jackson. In the clip, recently retired All-Pro pass rusher Aaron Donald lined up beside McCoy as they geared up to race each other.

If anybody thought it was a complete match because McCoy, who was a running back during his playing days, would win easily, then they have guessed it wrong. In short, never underestimate Aaron Donald.

The 6 foot 1, 281 pounder (when he retired) is extremely light on his feet. Donald, from the first whistle, stayed ahead of McCoy and won. Jackson, like countless others on X, could not believe their eyes. Even the guy who ran with a camera to record their running motion kept up with McCoy until the finish line. Age finally got to Shady.

Philadelphia Eagles to induct LeSean McCoy into their franchise Hall of Fame

LeSean McCoy may have lost a sprint, but none can take away his two Super Bowl rings unless he auctions them. Even though he did not win a ring with the Philadelphia Eagles, his best stats came with them, who drafted him in the second round of the 2009 draft.

LeSean [McCoy] was an incredibly gifted player who always approached the game with great joy and enthusiasm. His elusiveness as a dual-threat back, coupled with his uncanny ability to make breathtaking plays, captivated everyone who had the privilege of watching him compete.
The Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said per the Eagles’ official website

Throughout his 12-year NFL career, LeSean ‘Shady’ McCoy played in 170 regular season games for the Eagles, the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He racked up 5,000 yards from scrimmage (11,102 rushing; 3,898 receiving) and 89 touchdowns (73 rushing; 16 receiving).

His energy was contagious, but more importantly, it was his competitive spirit and commitment to being a great teammate that truly shaped his legacy as one of our league’s all-time greats. LeSean’s remarkable career when he is rightfully enshrined.
Jeffrey Lurie added

McCoy’s best came in 2013 when he rushed 314 times for 1607 yards and 9 touchdowns, along with 52 receptions, 539 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns.

The Eagles will induct him into the franchise Hall of Fame when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lincoln Financial Field on November 3.
