Deshaun Watson breaks silence on latest se*ual assault allegations levied against him

The troubles persist for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson. Despite serving his penance which involved him staying away from football for two seasons, the past has come back to haunt him after a woman has accused him of se*ually assaulting her. Watson addressed the recent allegations in his latest press conference.
After his attorney, Rusty Hardin released a statement on Wednesday defending his client, Watson gave the media his perspective on the situation. He first learned of the suit along with the rest of the public earlier this week. In the statement, Watson had strongly denied all allegations and made it clear that he intends to fight them in court. At the press conference, he doubled down on this statement and called the allegations ‘untrue’.
Rusty Hardin expressed his confidence that Watson would be exonerated of these charges.
We would ask that people be patient while the legal process runs its course. In the meantime, Deshaun is going to focus his energy and concentration on football.Hardin said.
It has been a rough week for the Browns quarterback who underwhelmed in the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

As per details of the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the woman in question is suing Watson for $1 million in Harris County for se*ually assaulting her during a date in 2020. At the time, he was playing for the Houston Texans. In order to protect her identity from the public, the woman has filed the case under the name ‘Jane Doe.’
She is alleging that Deshaun Watson came to her apartment and as she was getting ready, the quarterback stripped naked and lay in her bed on his stomach. He demanded that she massage his bu**ocks and soon after she reluctantly did so, he assaulted her se*ually.
Jane Doe held back from filing the suit as she was afraid of the public spotlight and humiliation that may come with it. She refrained from reporting the incident at the time and first attempted to resolve the matter privately with the quarterback before filing a suit.
The recent case is yet another black mark on Watson’s image which had just begun to improve after he was accused of se*ual misconduct by over 20 women. Deshaun Watson is expected to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
