“He’s my favorite player to watch!” Despite brutal playoffs exit, Kevin Durant sings praise for Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant

With the Phoenix Suns eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, all eyes are on the player who led the opposition, i.e. Anthony Edwards. The Suns, led by three All-Stars, Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker, could not handle the Wolves while having the scoring advantage themselves. However, Ant-Man played his best basketball, putting up solid numbers, and came out as Durant’s favorite player.

Edwards talked trash to Durant in Game 1, though KD appreciated his dominance rather than talking back to him. As Edwards and company sent the Suns home, Durant had nothing but respect for the youngster who has developed majorly ever since he came into the league.

So impressed with Ant. My favorite player to watch. Just grown so much since he came into the league at 22, just his love for the game just shines bright... That's one of the reasons why I like him the most, because he just loves basketball. He's grateful to be in his position. He's taken advantage at every opportunity he's gotten. Love everything about Ant.
said Kevin Durant following the Game 4 loss

Ant-Man put up 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 6.3 assists while shooting over 51% from the field and 43% from deep. This was truly one of the best displays of basketball from Edwards, as he is making the case for the best player in the current postseason.

Anthony Edwards will be teaming up with his favorite player soon

Following this postseason, the selected players will start preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant will be teaming up this summer to represent their country. The team assembled this year includes only the best players in the league. This comes after Team USA lost the FIBA World Championship last year, coming back without a medal.

The States are looking to assert their dominance back again, as they send the modern era’s Dream Team. Not only that, but the lethal duo of Edwards and KD will be one to watch. They both are each other’s favorite players to watch and so is their game’s level.

However, before the two can get the reps in, Edwards and the Wolves will look to make it out of the West, as they meet their probable opponent, the Denver Nuggets, in the next round. It will be interesting to see how far the Wolves can go this postseason, with Edwards dominating in his third playoff appearance.
