Despite Luka Doncic proving Charles Barkley wrong, Mavericks once again doubted against Celtics by TNT analyst

“Inside the NBA” show’s Charles Barkley once predicted that the Minnesota Timberwolves would go on and beat the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals. However, he was proved wrong by Luka Doncic and Co as the Mavs thrashed the Timberwolves 4-1 in the WCF Playoff Finals series. Interestingly, Barkley has again gone against Doncic and the Mavs for his prediction regarding the NBA Finals.

In the Boston Celtics‘ NBA Finals showdown with the Dallas Mavericks this 2023-24 NBA season, Charles Barkley is rooting for the former. Barkley predicted the Celtics to win the NBA Finals on the “Inside the NBA” show, despite having seen the incredible performances of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic in game 5 against the Timberwolves.

I still haven’t seen anything to make me think the Celtics are not going to win the championship. … I think it’s gonna be a hell of a series but I like the Celtics.

However, one may argue over Barkley’s prediction after watching what Donic and Irving have been doing for the Mavs this season.

On the sports side, both the Celtics and the Mavs have performed extremely well this season. The Celtics clean swept the Indiana Pacers 4-0 in the ECF Playoff Finals. On the other hand, the Mavs annihilated the Timberwolves 4-1 in the WCF Playoff Finals. It remains to be seen now, who comes out on top in the NBA Finals among the two strong sides this season.
