Ayesha Curry’s trip to Paris to cheer on her husband, Steph Curry, at the Olympics was a rollercoaster of events. From an unfortunate run-in with the police to celebrating gold, Ayesha ultimately found an optimistic takeaway from the experience.

Ayesha Curry shared snippets of the time she had in Paris through a carousel of pictures on Instagram. In the caption, she expressed that she had the best time celebrating and cheering for Steph Curry at the Paris Olympics. She also thanked Airbnb for the experience. The photos featured moments with their two sons, Canon and Caius Chai, during the trip.

The post came after Ayesha Curry and Sonya Curry had a terrible encounter with the French police due to their cultural differences and the language barrier. The discourse turned intense as she was spotted going away from the authorities in tears. This happened during their post-Olympic celebration. While Steph Curry did not appear to be present at the scene, his teammate Draymond Green was there, and he jumped in to talk to the officials.

Nonetheless, the Currys’ celebration did not stop at that. Steph Curry’s sister, Sydel Curry Lee, was also at the Paris Olympics to support her brother’s Olympic debut. She too posted a carousel of pictures where she bit down the medal and wrote how she was leaving Paris with ‘amazing memories and extra hardware‘.

Fans believe Ayesha Curry was responsible for Steph Curry’s incredible performance

Steph Curry did not have a great start at the Paris Olympics. However, in the final game between team USA and France, he displayed his incredible performance that got them the gold. Fans speculate it might have been the ‘Ayesha Curry effect’.

In the initial four games Curry scored only 7.3 points per game and only made five three-pointers. Those were the games where Ayesha Curry was absent. However, later when she arrived, Steph Curry scored 30 points a night on average, making 17 three-pointers in all. Safe top say, the evidence was very much in the fans’ favor.

On August 10, Team USA defeated France 98-87 in the gold medal game. The tie once again showed the world Curry’s hand at the game on a global level. Paris Olympics marked the fifth consecutive time USA became men’s basketball champions.
