Devin Booker's latest All-Star snub caused fans to resurface LeBron James' old tweet supporting Booker amidst 'politics'.
Devin Booker All-Star snub causes LeBron James old tweet supporting him to surface
The NBA revealed the final All-Star selections for the 2025 NBA All-Star game in San Francisco on Thursday night. As is the standard protocol every year, fans of snubbed stars took to the internet to justify why their team’s franchise cornerstone should have made the team. However, with Devin Booker set to miss the All-Star game this year, his fanbase brought out the receipts to back up why they believe Booker was snubbed.
Devin Booker has been selected to the All-Star game 4 times in his career, even though he has been one of the biggest stars in the league over the course of his 10-year career. After his latest snub at the All-Star game, fans brought up an old interview of Booker from 2019, where he claimed that the ratings and politics within the NBA played a major role in deciding which players were selected as All-Stars.

“It was a goal of mine, but this just reproves the point of the NBA is different than the NBA I fell in love with. All the best players made the All-Star game, and now it’s an entertainment, drama, political league.” 😳👀 pic.twitter.com/A4rU0JSs8n
As fans brought up Booker’s argument from years ago to show why he was snubbed from the All-Star game yet again, some fans also used LeBron James’ tweet from 2021 to justify why Booker remains one of the league’s most disrespected stars.
“Devin Booker is the most disrespected player in our league!!! Simple as that,” James wrote back in 2021.
"He's clearly in our minds as an All-Star. Hopefully, the other coaches see and respect what he's done."

LeBron James‘ words only go to show that Devin Booker has been amongst the most underrated stars in the league. Despite averaging 25.5 points, 6.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 41 games this season, Booker finished just 9th in fan voting, below stars like Ja Morant and De’Aaron Fox.
Mike Budenholzer stands up for Devin Booker after All-Star snub
There has been a lot of dismay going around the Phoenix Suns camp after the announcement of the Western Conference All-Star reserves. Even after Devin Booker proved his importance during the Paris Olympics last summer, as one of the most versatile stars in the NBA, fans continue to disregard his contributions. Suns HC Mike Budenholzer sounded off on these concerns after the league’s All-Star announcement.
"He's clearly in our minds as an All-Star. Hopefully, the other coaches see and respect what he's done."

As Budenholzer said, even though Booker did not rank highly in the fan votes, the final spots for the All-Star reserves are not based on fan votes. The NBA’s coaches are responsible for choosing the All-Star reserves, and the greatest minds across the association seemingly decided against choosing one of the premier two-guards in the league.
With Anthony Edwards and James Harden taking up the two guard spots in the Western Conference and Jalen WillIams and Alperen Sengun taking up the Wild Card spots, the coaches clearly didn’t believe there was any room to squeeze in Devin Booker.
