However, almost always the Slovenian comes with a win over the Phoenix Suns guard. Hence, Booker found the perfect opportunity to get back at his opponent’s organization after the Mavs traded Doncic.

While Dallas sent Devin Booker‘s team packing in 2022, Luka Doncic taunted the star on the court. The Mavericks’ social media team, following a recent trend, posted the famous Luka Doncic and Devin Booker meme. The Tweet was posted just a day before the trade with an ironic caption. “Ok last one we swear”. Book took to Twitter to hilariously troll the team with an obvious remark. “Kept their word,” Devin Booker wrote back.

The post became one of the last active mentions of Doncic by the team. The 28-year-old’s quick wit was highly praised by fans. Booker’s remark also seemed like a taunt more so on the franchise than the player. The Suns’ guard simply decided to participate in the social media storm of the unexpected trade. Long before Booker posted on his Twitter, fans caught the star’s reaction in real time. The news came out in middle of the Suns matchup against the Portland Trailblazers. During the game, while the Phoenix guard was on the bench, fans from behind broke the news to Booker. The player’s jaw was dropped as he quickly checked his phone.

After dropping 37 in the loss, Booker was asked about the trade in the locker room interview. D-Book was taken aback by the trade of Dallas’ main man. The star was speechless to witness the NBA’s business yet another time. It was proven that a player’s contributions to the team have no value when it comes to better business opportunities.
