The Detroit Lions handed the Dallas Cowboys their third home loss of the season on Sunday Night. The Cowboys are the only team with a .500 or above PCT with no wins at their home ground. After an undefeated 8-0 home record last season, the Cowboys started this one 0-3 at AT&T Stadium, Arlington.

During the Cowboys’ eventual 47-9 loss to the Lions on Sunday, fans have huddled up to roast and blame Dak Prescott for the loss. In light of this, former Dallas WR Dez Bryant expressed sentiments shared by many fans when he took to social media. Posting on X, Bryant made multiple comments criticizing the team’s performance.

Cowboys is not a balanced team. Its not a Dak thing Sorry to break it to you you casuals

Bryant stated that the Cowboys are “not a balanced team.” He called out casual fans who were blaming quarterback Dak Prescott for the loss. He also criticized defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, arguing the team should have made more effort to retain Dan Quinn before his departure.

Dez Bryant and Dak Prescott wore their same color shirt for two seasons together in Dallas. In fact, Dak Prescott’s first-ever touchdown pass as a pro was caught by Dez Bryant. Bryant was released by the Cowboys in 2018 after playing eight seasons with them.

The Cowboys shelled out a huge sum of money in the offseason to bring in on Prescott. It is only easily deducible that the fans would put their initial blame on the quarterback. In the 47-9, all the points scored by the Dallas team have been courtesy of Brandon Aubrey, their kicker. The offense failed to record a single touchdown white committing five turnovers.

Dallas has significant issues on both sides of the ball, as they dropped to 3-3 overall and 0-3 at home. There has been dishes and potential changes in the off-field aspects as well amid the loss. With a bye in Week 7, the Cowboys will need to take the opportunity to address these problems.

Dez Bryant calls out Mike Zimmer for Cowboys’ recent struggles

Dez Bryant made a bold claim, associating the Cowboys struggles to defensive issues. The Detroit Lions racked up 184 rushing yards (5.1 yards per carry) and two rushing touchdowns. To make matters worse, Lions quarterback Jared Goff shredded the defense with 315 passing yards and three touchdowns.

In light of the defensive struggles, Dez Bryant tweeted that they shouldn’t have let Quinn go. Dan Quinn left the Cowboys in the off season to become the head coach of the Washington Commanders. The Jerry Jones management brought in Mike Zimmer as a replacement.

Zimmer’s tactics have failed to do any good for the Cowboys. In response to a comment taking a dig at Trevon Diggs‘ dismal play, Bryant doubled down on Zimmer. In six games, Cowboys have given up more than 40 points twice this season.
