Dez Bryant recently found himself at the center of a viral moment, but not for his athletic prowess on the football field. Instead, the former Dallas Cowboys star expressed an unfiltered politician opinion on the internet by reacting to a tweet of controversial figure, Andrew Tate.

If there’s anyone happiest on the planet for Donald Trump’s re-election, it is Tate as he celebrated the comeback of patriarchy in the United States. Upon Trump’s victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Tate, known for his misogynistic views, tweeted, “Thank God. Men can’t get pregnant anymore.”

This controversial statement quickly gathered attention on the internet, and Bryant’s response– simply stating “This” –raised eyebrows at him.

While the three-time Pro Bowler has always been outspoken with his opinions, his alignment with Tate’s sentiments has created a whole different controversy. Fans are questioning whether Bryant is endorsing Tate’s broader misogynistic rhetoric, especially given his inflammatory comments about women and the LGBTQ community.

Bryant’s tweet quickly drew criticism at him, compelling him to speak up in his defense. The All-Pro emphasized that his reaction was in no way an endorsement of Tate but a simple agreement to the fact that ‘Men can’t get pregnant.’ He also called out some of the fans, who labeled him a “sellout” and “b***h boy,” asserting their anger stems from his willingness to speak the truth.

Dez Bryant was criticized for insensitive comments about transgender athletes in Olympics

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the Pro Footballer’s outspoken tweets have stirred controversy. During the 2024 Paris Olympics, Bryant was called out for his homophobic and transphobic tweets regarding women with high testosterone competing in the Olympic women’s category.

“God didn’t put you in a foreign body. Also Men shouldn’t be able to compete in women divisions,” tweeted Bryant for allowing Olympic women’s boxing gold medalist Imane Khelif to compete in the women’s category.

God made you a woman for a reason. God made you a man for a reason.

Bryant’s unfiltered reaction to the Olympic gender controversy stems from the report showing Khelif failed a gender test after having XY chromosomes in her DNA. The former NFL star responded to the criticism by revealing his mother’s sexual orientation as gay, however, he was reportedly arrested for allegedly assaulting in mother in 2012 as Mail reported.
