Did Tom Brady take shots at Tua Tagovailoa over his latest statement about Brian Flores?
A video from Pat McAfee Show surfaced online in which Tom Brady 'appeared' to be calling out the Dolphins quarterback for not sticking through the bad period under former head coach.

Tom Brady spoke harsh and tough words shortly after Tua Tagovailoa went off against former head coach Brian Flores. The Miami Dolphins quarterback got an earful on how to tough it out when the situation demands rather than losing heart and, in the process, losing focus from winning games, denting the team’s chances of silverware.
In one of the segments of the Pat McAfee Show, Brady discussed his coaches being strict with him throughout his career, whether it was high school, college, or the NFL. Despite the pressure, he grinded hard and won seven Super Bowls.
If the coach was going to be hard on me, I was going to accept the difficult coaching because I needed to hear it. And again, it motivated me.Tom Brady told host Pat McAfee
Brady explained about accountability, making it easier for current players to understand. The tough love was a great example for his Patriots teammates, who would then implement the same in their lives, and together they grew stronger.
'OK, I’ve gotta step my game up because I don’t want to get yelled at. If Tom’s getting yelled at, I don’t want to get yelled at. How do I up my game?’ And that’s what accountability looks like.Tom Brady added
Recently, Tua Tagovailoa revealed the awful working conditions under former Dolphins head coach Brian Flores. At one point, he almost lost all of his confidence, which made it hard for him to continue the game until Mike McDaniel took over and the situation improved drastically.

Tom Brady’s words were not directed towards Tua Tagovailoa
During his playing career, Brady and the Patriots were the teams no one wanted to face because they were extremely dominant, not just in the regular season but also in the playoffs. They reached 10 Super Bowls and AFC Title games.
The secret to their success was the never-give-an-inch attitude of the players during the clutch moments.
You better be tough at that point. Better not go in there with a weak attitude [and] you’ve gotta go in there and embrace the challenge, embrace the opportunity.Tom Brady said
The playoffs being a one-shot game, teams need to win every game—even a bad victory is still a victory. This only comes from being pushed by the coaches, and if they don’t do that, then it doesn’t build the attitude.
While it may sound harsh because Tua Tagovailoa went through a very tense period during his first 2 years in Miami, Brady’s words do have a lot of merit because they worked for him and the Patriots.
However, did Tom Brady actually say these words in response to Tua’s latest interview? In reality, the video posted by @ML Football was shot in January after the Patriots sacked Bill Belichick and hired Brady’s former teammate Jerod Mayo. The proof is in the video itself. If the viewers check the top left corner, they will notice the date—30th January 2024.
So, Tua can rest easy, unlike Daniel Jones. Brady did not take a jab at him for coming clean with his bad experiences. Tua can, however, apply his words, and maybe the Dolphins give the Chiefs and the Ravens a run for their money.
