Dijak recently got drafted to Raw in the 2024 WWE Draft after enduring many hardships in NXT. During his time with the black and gold brand, he recalled a conversation he had with CM Punk. The 37-year-old star said it was the most influential discussion he ever had in the wrestling business.

While speaking on WWE Die Voche, Dijak talked about how The Best in the World calmed him down after his match against Eddy Thorpe. On the December 12, 2023, episode of NXT, he had a match with Thorpe and got a cut on his head while performing a move. As the medical staff took him backstage, he revealed that he felt angry with himself for potentially ruining his opponent’s most important match in his career.

Unfortunately, medical staff disclosed that Dijak couldn’t participate in the pre-taped match with Thorpe the next day at NXT Underground. He was enraged after hearing the news, but the person who came to talk to him was CM Punk. The 37-year-old star stated that the conversation with the veteran had a huge impact on him.

The most influential discussion I’ve ever had in pro wrestling took place four months ago, or maybe three months ago, and it happened with CM Punk of all people. I came to back yelling and cursing and angry because I was angry at myself, I wasn’t angry at anyone else. I talked to him after and I don’t know if he remembers this, but after that, we had the most important conversation that I’ve ever had in my professional wrestling career.

Many in WWE agreed that Punk has been on his best behavior since his return to WWE. He talked and trained with NXT superstars before making his in-ring debut with the Stamford-based company. Meanwhile, for Dijak, it will be the beginning of a new story in his career, as after failing in his initial run on the main roster, he has become a better version of himself.

Speaking about his NXT run before his main roster call-up, he recently had an opportunity to become the NXT North American Champion. In a Triple Threat match between Josh Briggs and the champion Oba Femi at NXT Stand & Deliver, all three of them shocked the WWE Universe with their unexpected athleticism. Despite an outstanding performance, Dijak failed to win a championship in WWE. The 37-year-old star would want to change that statistic on the main roster.
