T.J Dillashaw vs Cory Sandhagen set for May 8; leaves Twitterati with mixed reactions

T.J Dillashaw will be returning to the octagon after more than 2 years, as he takes on the fast-rising Cory Sandhagen in a high-voltage bantamweight clash. Dillashaw last faced Henry Cejudo on the 19th of January 2019 and was knocked out in the very first round. He later tested positive for Erythropoietin and was suspended for two years by the USADA and the New York State Athletic Commission. Since his suspension term got over this January, there was a lot of talk as to who his opponent would be. And, now here he is about to take on the number 2 ranked bantamweight contender Cory Sandhagen in a 5 round main event on the 8th of May.
Brett Okamoto of ESPN broke the news, as he claimed that the fight “has been agreed to for the date of May 8.” However, the Twitterati had a mixed response. While a few were happy with the clash of top-notch skills, a few weren’t happy with Dillashaw jumping right into the ‘top of the ladder’ mix.
‘He blatantly and intentionally cheated and he’s getting a number 1 contender fight?’

Sandhagen will be wary of the returning TJ!
Dillashaw, the former two-time bantamweight division is known for his explosive power and will be looking forward to returning with a bang. Sandhagen, on the other hand, is coming off a highlight-reel knockout over veteran Frankie Edgar, and is currently on a two-match win-streak.
Who have you got?
