Dillon Brooks scored 28 points for Memphis Grizzlies as they stop the Miami Heat once again, ending their streak of wins. With this win the Grizzlies have now won their 3rd straight as Jonas Valanciunas scored a double-double consisting of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Kyle Anderson added 19 and Desmond Bane registered 15 points against his name. 

Miami Heat had won their last 4 games previously before this loss. Jimmy Butler led the side with 28 points in this game, whereas Bam Adebayo scored 18 and Victor Oladipo in his 3rd game for the home team added 16 points. Miami Heat’s 5 match winning streak was brought to a halt by Memphis 3 weeks ago. 

Dillon Brooks leads Memphis Grizzlies past Miami Heat 124-112

Memphis Grizzlies outscored Miami Heat 13-5 in the first 3:59 of the fourth quarter and extended its lead to 109-94. Grizzlies leading scorer JA Morant was held to 10 points. Morant took only one shot in the first half, yet the Grizzles led 63-57 at halftime. Valanciunas and Anderson each shot 6-for-8 from the field and combined for 35 points in the half.

Jonas Valanciunas extended his double-figure rebounding streak to 17. He also had his 35th double-double of the season. 

Dillon Brooks scored 9 consecutive points for the Grizzlies late in the third quarter. With the Heat converging on him during Memphis’ last possession of the period, Brooks found an open Tyus Jones for a 3-pointer that gave the Grizzlies a 96-89 advantage. 

Having said that, for the away team, Memphis Grizzlies would be up against Atlanta Hawks next whereas Miami Heat would be facing the Los Angeles Lakers in their next encounter.
