Jairzinho Rozenstruik is no longer among the rank and file in UFC, and he has had stuff to air about that. Rozenstruik was culled right about 48 hours after his UFC Saudi Arabia three-round decision loss to Sergei Pavlovich. The fighter felt disgruntled about his clinical problems while at ANB Arena, and yet receiving his walking papers from UFC brass so soon.
On Tuesday next week, a UFC official confirmed to USAToday Sports that Rozenstruik was indeed released after the algorithm-based X account UFC Roster Tracker posted it. Jairzinho Rozenstruik lost a very one-sided, lackluster fight night performance against Pavlovich; UFC CEO Dana White even bashed his output as very timid. Now, “Bigi Boy” gave his untethered take on his cut:
No, I did not. As I mentioned before, I had. I had a good run with the UFC, and the UFC wasn’t bad to me. The way they called me, it was dirty. But as I say, if there’s no need for each other to work together anymore, then we got to move on…Because for an example, I flew down from Saudi Arabia. That’s a long, it’s a long trip. Came home tired. I went to bed. It was a big time difference. So I was sleeping during the day, and I got several phone calls. So it was on the Internet before I know it and put it that way.

The fighter from Team ATT said he slept it in after the matchup, and he got to know from his management later in the day that he was being culled. Rozenstruik isn’t the only such alleged case where the MMA monopoly has cut off talents, and they got to know it late.
For example, while certain names get the label of boss privileges (take Jon Jones), Inaugural featherweight champ Germaine de Randamie once told SBNation she never knew she was being stripped for refusing to fight a steroid-riddled Cris Cyborg. Downright, cutthroat anti-competitive conduct? Who’s even to decide?

As for the ranked ex-UFC heavyweight contender, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, has moved on to other avenues. While he wishes that the UFC litigation wouldn’t play it downright dirty and give prior warnings, the Surinamese gave credit for UFC’s pivotal backing in his career so far. After the fallout against Pavlovich, he had issued a formal statement as to what had happened.
Jairzinho Rozenstruik claimed that paint fumes contributed to his final UFC loss
The UFC wasted mere days — approximately just 48 hours — to cut a big standout name after his unanimous decision defeat. The silent running decision to do so was very odd at the moment given the heavyweight had moderate momentum.

At a moderate 9-6 UFC stat, Jairzinho Rozenstruik saw his out having snagged two of three last fights and 3/5 outings. In a range of 15 fights, he had wins over standouts like Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski, and Alistair Overeem.
The ‘Rookie of The Year’ started his run at 10-0 before a sturdy KO from Francis Ngannou at UFC 249 in May 2020. What was even more odd was that he had logged a win over the winless Tai Tuivasa, who wasn’t cut and kept the galls to dismiss the whole heavyweight division. After his exit, the Suriname fighter opened up about it.
Terrence McKinney and the other competitors at UFC Saudi Arabia also raised issues about the paint fumes in the locker rooms. But it was a too little too late as UFC had jumped the gun on cutting the heavyweight.
He will return to fighting at Dirty Boxing Championship (DBX) returns for DBX 2, June 14 inside The Hangar at Regatta Harbour, Miami. Former and present UFC names like Yoel Romero, Renato Moicano, and Mike Perry will commentate the affair, headlined by Bigi Boy.
