Due to a lower back contusion, the Pelicans recently forced Williamson to miss the last four games of the 2024–25 regular season. Given that, he has plenty of time to himself. So fans and the NBA media will be expecting a response from the Pelicans star sooner rather than later on this sensitive matter. It will be interesting to watch whether or not Williamson chooses to speak on this issue or ignore it.
Pelicans provide devastating Zion Williamson injury update
Before going into the summer to make crucial decisions on their team’s future, the Pelicans have just four matches left in the regular season. Zion Williamson is the standout forward, and the Pelicans need to find out how to assemble a contender around him.
Williamson had another season marred by injuries, missing games due to a calf, hamstring, and lately, a back contusion. After a severe collision a few weeks ago, the two-time all-star is currently out due to a back injury. The team’s injury listing for Tuesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets includes Williamson. This came out as devastating news of the Pelicans fans.

Given that he completed a career-high 70 games the previous season, Zion’s 30-game total at the end of the year is disappointing. Going into the offseason, the fans would want to see a healthy Williamson but his latest injury adds more doubts to his future with the franchise.
