DJ Akademiks backtracks on LeBron James cheating accusations involving Drake
DJ Akademiks claimed that he had proof that Drake helped NBA superstar LeBron James cheat on his wife Savannah James.
Kai Cenat pushes DJ Akademiks to come clean on LeBron James cheating rumors
In recent weeks, LeBron James‘ name has been linked with Drake quite a few times. In that same timeframe, DJ Akademiks, a social media personality, decided to join in the discourse and called out the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
It all started when Drake’s teaser of his new track ‘Fighting Irish Freestyle’ leaked. Fans were quick to link some of the words from that song with James’ alleged infidelity. Then came DJ Akademiks, who alleged that the 40-year-old superstar had cheated on his wife Savannah James when he was friends with Drake.
They allegedly went on night outs and had fun of which the podcaster allegedly had proof of. He suggested that for LeBron James to do all that and then ditch Drake was not right. However, the Lakers star has been quiet from his side.
To figure out why DJ Akademiks went on to label him a cheater, streamer Kai Cenat decided to find out. He called Akademiks while live on a stream and asked him why he accused the four-time NBA Champion of cheating. To this a flustered Akademiks replied.
Kai Cenat then went on to tell DJ Akademiks that he was ‘messy’ to go with the rumors. The podcaster admitted that he was wrong, but did reveal that Drake did not give him the full truth. This situation has turned the tables on the Canadian rapper also named Cenat in his lawsuit against UMG.
Drake’s lawsuit against UMG started the LeBron James cheating discourse
Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG) and Spotify, suggesting they pushed Kendrick Lamar‘s hit diss track ‘Not like Us’. He felt it was defamatory to his reputation and even drew in streamers such as Kai Cenat for allegedly being paid to promote Not Like Us.
In the midst of all this, LeBron James was drawn in when one of his messages were leaked where it mentioned that what UMG and Spotify were doing was akin to ‘Nike funding a campaign about LeBron cheating on his wife‘.
That started the discourse that Drake knew about the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s misdeeds. Fans even brought back his links with another internet personality YesJulz. Even if she had shut down any such links, fans started to believe that James was not faithful.
These reasons could be the catalyst for LeBron James leaving Drake’s side. Many thought he left after Lamar accused the Canadian rapper of being a ‘pedophile’. But this discourse is starting to take shape and DJ Akademiks’ revelation could change the course for the Grammy Award winning rapper’s reputation.
