DK Metcalf could face the wrath of the NFL because of the way he treated a fan after the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Detroit Lions ended at Ford Field. Witnesses reported seeing an irate Metcalf shove a Lions fan before walking away from the scene.
Metcalf went into the Lions game in excellent form. Last week, he scored an improbable touchdown against the Miami Dolphins and looked for a repeat on Sunday.
However, his night ended without much joy. He caught just 4 passes for 42 yards. Receivers like Metcalf often let their emotions get the best of them after a tough game like that.
Metcalf was approaching a Lions fan after the referee blew the final whistle. Then he suddenly yanked at the fan’s blue wig and then shoved him into his seat before leaving the scene.

Later, the Detroit Free Press spoke with the fan to learn about the reason behind Metcalf’s behavior toward him.
He doesn’t like his government name. I called him [DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf], and then he grabbed me.

Mike Tomlin reacted to DK Metcalf’s altercation with the Lions fan
Although the NFL’s rules on player-fan interactions are not codified, it’s a bad outlook for both Metcalf and the Steelers. The NFL has fined players for very little in the past based on the league’s personal conduct policy, so it won’t come as a surprise if the Pro Bowler receives a hefty fine ahead of next week’s game.

Reporters searched for the 28-year-old in the locker room, but he had already left. ESPN’s Brooke Pryor tweeted,
DK Metcalf left the locker room after the game without fielding questions from reporters.

Pryor turned to Mike Tomlin for answers, who became the youngest head coach to win 200 NFL games.
I heard about it, but I hadn’t seen it, and I hadn’t had an opportunity to talk to DK, and so I have no comment.

The game ended in a bizarre fashion. With the Steelers leading by five points, the Lions only needed a touchdown in the last ten seconds to win the game. Quarterback Jared Goff passed the ball to Amon-Ra St. Brown, but the Steelers defenders stopped the Lions receiver from crossing into the end zone.
St. Brown quickly threw a lateral pass back to Goff, who scored a diving touchdown. However, the celebration was cut short when fans witnessed multiple flags on the field. The officials penalized St. Brown for offensive pass interference, negating the touchdown. The Steelers won 29-24.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished with 27 completions for 266 yards, 1 touchdown, and a quarterback rating of 92.1. Running back Jaylen Warren rushed 14 times for 143 yards, while Kenneth Gainwell had 9 carries for 50 yards, along with 5 receptions for 78 yards and 1 receiving touchdown.
The Steelers improved to 9-6 and currently are the fourth seed in the AFC. They finish the regular season by facing the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens.
