Roki Sasaki and the Los Angeles Dodgers can’t seem to catch a break with fans questioning the integrity of the deal. They’ve now come into the spotlight not for any good reasons but them snatching top talents from the free agency.
Several are seen complaining about their $6.5 million contract questioning a possible pre-handshake between the two parties. MLB concluded an investigation into the noise even before his signing was announced.
According to the reports, no evidence was found of a pre-agreement deal between Roki Sasaki and the Los Angeles Dodgers. As per an official in the investigation, it was done to ensure no rules were broken during the free agency and that all MLB teams had a fair chance.
Sasaki noted on social media that much thinking was added to his signing with the team and he hopes to look back at his choice with pride in the future. The top 3 teams in the race were – LA Dodgers, the San Diego Padres, and the Toronto Blue Jays.

With location, team wins, atmosphere, inclusion of Japanese players, and several other factors the Dodgers won the Sasaki race. The team’s 2025 lineup will be deadly for any opponents with players like – Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, and Sasaki.

Baseball is about done, is it not? How can you have a league with 4-5 teams competing? I’ll take my entertainment dollars elsewhere

MLB needs to step in soon, it's insane when 1 team commands all free agents, can defer over a billion dollars and no one has the money on their level, this is damaging baseball, why not have a cap system for parity like NFL, it seems to have worked

Sasaki said he can’t wait to slip his new outfit in the press conference as he takes his first step towards his MLB debut. He’ll be rejoining his WBC teammates for the next couple of years as he steps into the MLB spotlight.
