The train of the Los Angeles Dodgers seems to have gone off the track a little bit. On Wednesday, the reigning World Series champions got swept again, this time by the Milwaukee Brewers, and were handed their 6th successive loss.
The Dodgers had been in fine form until last week. Before facing the Houston Astros, the team had won 9 of its last 10 games.
In the series against the Astros last weekend, the Dodgers were blown away. Following a hammering 18-1 loss on Friday, the team got beaten 6-4 and 5-1 and were outscored 29-6 in the three games.
The team was looking to bounce back to form from this crushing series loss against the Astros. On Monday, the Brewers exploded early on and won 9-1 with Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto lasting just 0.2 innings.
Following a 3-1 win on Tuesday, the Brewers completed the sweep on Wednesday. After tying the game in the ninth inning, the Brewers would walk off the Dodgers in the bottom of the tenth inning. Jackson Chourio, who was 0-for-4 in the game, managed to hit the play in the left center field, allowing the runner to score from third and hand the Dodgers another loss.
FINAL (10): Brewers 3, #Dodgers 2

This 6-game losing skid is one of the worst the Dodgers have had over the years. With this slump in form, the Dodgers’ record has gone from 56-32 to 56-38.
Fan reactions to Los Angeles Dodgers getting swept in back-to-back series
Just a few days before the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been hit with a massive slump. The team lost their 6th straight game on Wednesday as the Milwaukee Brewers recorded a 3-2 walk-off win.

This slump in form and losses sparked some wild reactions on social media. While the non-Dodgers fan brutally slandered them, the Dodger fanbase lost their cool and slammed the organization. One user wrote, “Pathetic performance after pathetic performance” to make their feelings known.

The fact that these idiots couldn’t get hits against one of the brewers worst pitchers is disgusting

This is the most embarrassed I’ve been to be a Dodgers fan in quite some time.

This team is playing the worst baseball I’ve seen in years.
The major worrying sign for the Dodgers from this skid is their offense. In this 6-game stretch, they have been outscored 44-10. Out of this, there were 4 games, where the team was restricted just to a single run.
Their losing run has opened up the doors for their division rivals. The San Francisco Giants are 5 games behind them after Wednesday. The two rivals will battle each other in a 3-game series in San Francisco. The Giants would be hoping to take advantage of this skid of their rivals and try to close out the gap on top of the division table.
Dodgers’ Miguel Rojas admits team needs to score more runs to avoid going on losing streaks
The offense of the Los Angeles Dodgers has gone quiet in the last few games. Despite having some of the biggest names in MLB, the team has struggled to put up some runs on the board. Following the loss against the Milwaukee Brewers, veteran Miguel Rojas admitted that he needs to score runs to avoid going on such losing streaks.

In this 6-game losing run, the team has managed just 10 runs. On Wednesday, Rojas had a good time, going 2-for-3 with a walk and driving in both of the runs for the team. The lack of run support from others turned out to be a reason for their loss.
It’s kind of frustrating because we didn’t come up with a win. Knowing we haven’t been playing out best baseball. (Tyler) Glasnow was amazing today, giving us an opportunity to be up in the game… Scoring 1 or 2 runs is not going to cut it. We have to do better. We have to score more runs.
