Dodgers wrap up COVID-shortened ‘unfinished business’ at 2024 World Series parade with average 200,000 onlookers on streets
LA streets were vibing as buses filled with players traveled across the city to celebrate their World Series win with the fans.

A wave of loud music, cheers, and drinks swept the streets of Los Angeles late Friday morning as the Dodgers celebrated their World Series win. An estimated amount of 200,000 onlookers took to the streets, some waiting in line from the morning, while others prepared graffiti, as the team bus circled the downtown.
The Los Angeles Dodgers finally wrapped up not only the 2024 World Series win but also the 2020 COVID-shortened period’s due celebration. The players and fans could not get into it truly due to restrictions and masks in 2020.
However, they celebrated to their heart’s content in the 2024 Dodgers parade. The World Series champs popped out of their open-top double-decker buses to greet the fans in an emotional celebration.

While Ice Cube heated up the stage with his electric performance, team manager Dave Roberts even showcased a twerking dance much to the fan’s amusement. An emotional Clayton Kershaw commented how this scene “makes everything worth it.”

He further labeled the experience as “the coolest thing I’ve ever been part of.” Furthermore, the parade took place on an emotional day as they also celebrated legend Fernando Valenzuela, who passed away on October 22.
Multiple arrests take place as chaos ensues during LA Dodgers parade
Celebrations aside, the LAPD disclosed on Saturday that 12 arrests were reported in connection to theft and burglary. The police further reported that a “hostile crowd” disrupted the peaceful celebrations leading to several arrests.
Apparently, the people began throwing fireworks, rocks, bottles, and even projectiles at the officers during the parade. The LAPD further added that many stores were looted and a bus was even set on fire.
LA Mayor Karen Bass strictly noted that violence “will not be tolerated” during the parade celebrations. Apart from violent acts, a couple of fans were also injured. A man was harmed as a firework exploded on his hands.

Another person, unfortunately, fell off from a third flood building while trying to engage in a “graffiti-related activity.” The people present at the scene immediately took measure and formed a circle around the injured man.
He was promptly taken to the hospital for further care. Despite the heavy injury, the fan was breathing and moving, according to reports. However, his current condition is unknown.
