DOMINATING! Manchester City’s commanding performance took them to the top of the table

Man City’s see off Watford with a 1-3 win over them. Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling’s services at Vicarage Road have set sail for Manchester City as this victory took them above both Liverpool and Chelsea. Earlier in today’s matches, Chelsea fell down to a raging West Ham United whereas Liverpool squeezed out the winner by a late goal from the super-sub Divock Origi.

City and their controlling First Half

However, Man City started off their match by putting pressure on Watford early in the game. Their slick and agile possession and game build-up left their opponents hopeless as it took just 4 mins to score their first goal. As Phil Foden delivered a sweet cross into the path of Sterling as he managed to squeeze it past the Watford defence.

On the other hand, Watford keeper Daniel Bachmann kept the City attack at bay with his fantastic saves to deny them from scoring more goals. His saves were worthy enough or otherwise they would have been down by at least 4-0 that time.

But all his efforts went in vain as in the 32nd minute Bernardo Silva managed to find the smallest gap between the goal and the keeper to make it 0-2.

The reigning Second Half

It was the usual start as Manchester City started to build up their game by keeping higher ball possession. Watford was unable to break past City’s fluid movements throughout the match.

But around the 64th minute, it was against the Portuguese midfielder who found the slot to make it 3-0. The ball was brilliantly set up by Kyle Walker which allowed Silva to get into the slot and wiggle past Watford’s poor defence.

Daniel Bachmann on the other hand tried his very best to keep away the City attack but it was too much for him to stop that kind of a shot from Bernardo Silva.

However, in the 74th minute, Cucho Hernandez scored a brilliant goal to bring The Hornets closer into the game but his efforts came in too late as Manchester City took all the 3 points off the match.
