Just a few days before his high-profile showdown with John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series, Dominik Mysterio cut a promo on this week’s Raw. The folks in Oklahoma City hijacked the AAA Mega Champ’s address with loud John Cena chants, which led ‘Dom’ to call the city a dump and inform them that their hero wasn’t even in the building.
As soon as ‘Dom’ said it, Cena’s music hit, and it sent the crowd into a frenzy. Even Joe Tessitore was drooling over it on commentary until he, like the rest of the people in attendance, realized a pint-sized doppelganger of Cena had arrived to greet them. Not only was there a “Micro Cena,” but he had also brought a “Micro Stu” to film the entire sequence.

After that miniature version of Cena called Dominik the worst Mysterio of all time, the Judgment Day member lost it and kicked him down. ‘The King of the Luchadores’ then brought out the five-knuckle shuffle to mock his Survivor Series opponent. Mysterio hit the 619 and the frog splash on little Cena to vent out his frustration.
This is pathetic, Dom! 👎

The former Intercontinental Champion had given the John Cena parody a chance to turn around and exit the ring to avoid a beating. For those curious about the real identity of the man who cosplayed mini Cena, he’s none other than Micro Wrestling Federation’s Syko.
#WWERaw Mini Cena was played by Syko from the Micro Wrestling Federation, which was the subject of the Discovery Channel reality show Big Little Brawlers.

You know, that show that portrayed dwarf wrestlers in a DIGNIFIED light? pic.twitter.com/wQEn1Doftb
He’d been one of the most pivotal figures of the said organization and he got to show himself on WWE programming this Monday. The fans are appreciating the comedy bit WWE was able to pull out of that interaction between Syko and Mysterio.
ESPN ranks Dominik Mysterio the best wrestler under 30 once again
The hits just keep on coming for Dominik Mysterio. In a new career achievement for the San Diego native, he’s been named the best wrestler under 30 by ESPN yet again. The 28-year-old was first bestowed with the honor last year, and he’s done it again. Stating the obvious, Mysterio’s on his career-best run at the moment.

He could forever brag about being involved in the final three matches of John Cena’s WWE career. Rey Mysterio‘s son dropped the Intercontinental title to the 17-time world champion on Raw in Boston. That win unlocked a new milestone for Cena as he completed a career grand slam in WWE.

In Cena’s final Raw appearance, he teamed up with Dom’s legendary father and Sheamus to take out The Judgment Day. And this weekend in San Diego, the reigning AAA Mega Champion will look to bank on local support against ‘Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect’. It would be a bold decision from WWE if the company officials decide to put the IC title back on Mysterio this early.
Dominik Mysterio reflects on being dubbed as the future of WWE
With a litany of years ahead of him and the kind of wrestler he has transformed himself into, the sky’s the limit for Dominik Mysterio. Although that shouldn’t come off as a surprise, the Judgment Day member is internally viewed as the future of WWE. It was revealed by Cody Rhodes during a recent interview with ALL THE SMOKE that Mysterio is often associated with the company’s future in backstage conversations.

When asked about Rhodes’ kind words for him, Mysterio told Stephen A. Smith on ESPN that he’s just getting started. The former IC Champion noted how he debuted in WWE during the pandemic era, when shows used to be held behind closed doors. However, with thousands of people in the arenas reacting to his shtick these days, he’s living off of it, said Mysterio.
"Cody's like that big brother. … You want that stamp of approval from him. It's really cool to hear that from him."

Coming on to Rhodes, the Judgment Day member compared him to that one elder brother who’s mostly out of town for his college, but there’s always a semblance of excitement when he comes back. ‘Dom’ underscored the importance of getting that stamp of approval from the Undisputed WWE Champion.
