Current Champion Brutally Trolls AJ Styles for Botching His Lines on This Week’s raw

It seemed like AJ Styles was outright overawed by the presence of Dominik Mysterio in their confrontation from Raw this past Monday.

After getting stunned by Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41, AJ Styles had to figure out a way forward to remain in title hunts. The former WWE Champion issued a friendly reminder to Dominik Mysterio that he’s going to target the Intercontinental Championship after Backlash. It wasn’t that easy for Styles to get his words in.

He flustered a couple of times and misspoke, which didn’t go unnoticed by Mysterio. The latter, as a result, posted a clip from Noah Ritter, a Wilkes-Barre sensation who went viral for his “apparently” interview with Newswatch 16 many years ago. Dirty Dom used a certain portion of that clip where Ritter could be heard saying, “Apparently, I’ve never been on live television before.” It was a jab aimed at Styles.

The 47-year-old has yet to respond and might want to settle the score inside the ring itself. If Mysterio gets past Penta at Backlash this Saturday, he’ll have Styles waiting for him. The Judgment Day member was Mr. TNA’s first match back on Raw earlier this year. The Phenomenal One was moved to the red brand after his return in the men’s Royal Rumble match.

He was dealing with a Lisfranc injury since October. But now that’s in the rearview mirror for the wrestling veteran, he can focus on getting back to winning ways. Styles hasn’t won a championship gold in WWE since August 2021. Back then, he was a tag team champion alongside Omos. They lost the belts to Randy Orton and Matt Riddle at SummerSlam.

What’s going on between AJ Styles and Finn Balor?

Apart from letting his intentions be known to Dominik Mysterio, AJ Styles also did something that was picked up by the internet. He looked up at Finn Balor inside the Judgment Day clubhouse and said, “What’s up, Prince?” The two go back in time. They’ve been a part of the Bullet Club faction in NJPW. Once both got into WWE, the fans started fantasizing about their reunion along similar lines.

After their latest interaction on Raw, the speculation has picked up steam once again. Adding fuel to the fire, the Irish wrestler took to X and posted a picture of himself and Styles playing video games together. Is that a premonition of things to come? It could be. However, Balor might also be trolling and planting seeds for a potential feud with his old friend down the line.

They’re already set for a singles match on Raw next Monday. The ongoing rumors of Balor’s potential breakup with Judgment Day have been rampant for a while. A few months ago, a report from WrestleVotes claimed that WWE had The Prince lined up for a sustained singles push in 2025. That’s something the fans have been waiting on for a long time.

AJ Styles had his social media hacked recently

Earlier this week, some fans on social media noticed some unusual movements on AJ Styles‘ X account. The WWE Grand Slam Champion soon posted a video on Instagram confirming that his account was hacked. By the way he described it, Styles succumbed to a SIM swap scam.

He had someone working on the backend to restore his social media platform, and was eventually successful. The posts that were made by the hacker, mostly crypto baits, were taken down as quickly as possible. Moreover, Styles is someone who doesn’t have a chronic online presence.

The last time he inadvertently created a ruckus was when The Georgia Pitbull took a stand for Road Dogg when he got promoted as the co-lead writer for SmackDown in February. The fans were dumping on the former DX member given his past debacles being in that position.
