The Dallas Cowboys have, at last, fulfilled CeeDee Lamb’s requests by making him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the league, if not the most.

Coming off a Pro Bowler season while leading the team to the playoffs as the second-seeded, the Cowboys didn’t want to compromise losing a player such as Lamb. After signing him a four-year lucrative deal worth $136 million, the Cowboys have secured one of their biggest offensive weapons and molded the odds of having a winning season more in their favor.

However, Domonique Foxworth seems to believe that the Cowboys’ offensive line remains mediocre, regardless of Lamb’s active participation in it. During the recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up, the former Denver Broncos star argued that the offensive ranking of Dallas will deteriorate more in the coming season after they let go of some core players.

I mean, I hate to say it, but I think they’re probably mediocre. CeeDee Lamb is great. Dak [Prescott] is great. But they lost some strength across the offensive line. And I think the question about this team going forward is going to be how great can the defense be.

Judging from Foxworth’s words for the Cowboys, it seems he has lost all hope in the team’s offensive line despite having players such as quarterback Dak Prescott, Tyron Smith, and Lamb, among others.

If the defense is great and lives up to its potential, I think the team can be great. But I think the offense takes a step back from last year’s top-of-the-league type of numbers.

Coach Mike McCarthy praises CeeDee Lamb’s talent after contract extension

The three-time Pro Bowler had been holding out from all of the team’s practice drills and preseason games since early offseason, as leverage to land a deserving contract after his performance last season. But now that the deal has finally taken place– signed by both parties, Lamb has a mere 13 days to prepare himself for the opening week of 2024. Nonetheless, the head coach is happy that one of his crucial player is completely on board for the new season.

The talent has been extremely evident since this young man has stepped on a football field. You could see it at Oklahoma. He has the whole package
HC Mike McCarthy said about Lamb’s extension on Monday

With Lamb’s contract situation resolved, all attention has now shifted toward the quarterback, whose situation isn’t very different from the receiver but the only difference is instead of holding out, Prescott has been actively participating in the entire offseason and preseason.
