Harrison Butker made a name for himself by scoring clutch field goals for the Kansas City Chiefs, but he’s also made strides in the political genre. Butker is a massive Donald Trump sympathizer, and it showed during his attendance at the White House on Thursday.

Butker received an invitation from the White House to be part of a hand-picked group of individuals to oversee the relaunch of the Presidential Fitness Test. It was a program launched back in 1966 to grow awareness of leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

FOX Sports tweets revealed Trump cracking jokes on Butker on the podium.

You’re a handsome guy, by the way..I mean it’s usually not my thing, but he is a good-looking sucker.

Donald Trump said gesturing at Harrison Butker

Butker isn’t the only familiar face in the council. NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, WWE Superstar Triple H, and Vice President JD Vance will play a big role in making the project a success.

This was not the first time Butker visited the White House. In February, a White House official told FOX News that the 30-year-old dropped by the Oval Office to say hello to the President.

KC fans, and football fans in general, hold a divisive view against Butker due to his controversial statements. Social media went on a temporary meltdown after he suggested that women should embrace doing household chores in front of graduating college students.

Despite the backlash, Butker stood by his words.

I was trying to speak life for so many women that have dedicated their life to being the homemaker, being the one that raises the children, and it’s a beautiful role, but it’s not a role that should be diminished.

Butker’s image took an even bigger hit when he came out in support of Trump’s ‘pro-life’ campaign.

I’m supporting the president that’s going to be the most pro-life president, I think, Donald TrumpThe [pro-life] topic is the most crucial topic for me. I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn, and that’s what we should prioritize.

His new venture is bound to raise a lot of eyebrows, too.

Harrison Butker is setting the standards at Chiefs training camp

The Chiefs blew a great chance of securing a three-peat by losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl LIX. However, football gurus will agree they haven’t been the team to beat in the AFC in the last few years.

This doesn’t prove the Super Bowl window is closed. The Chiefs need to rediscover the discipline and clutch gene from 2023. It can only be achieved through grinding hard on the football field.

Butker is leading the way for the Chiefs in that category. Ever since the training camp began, reporters have seen the star kicker arrive an hour before everyone else to start his practice.

When younger players see a veteran putting in the work, they also get motivated to work harder.

When asked the reason behind training earlier than his teammates, Butker revealed he doesn’t want to let the Chiefs down by fixing his kicking routine.

Last year, he missed a few games after hurting his knee due to repeatedly sliding forward after kicking the ball. Butker doesn’t want to repeat the same this year.

Usually, you try to overswing when the wind’s in your face. But I feel like when I do my best, it’s when you just don’t even think about the wind, focus on ball contact, and normally that ball will go and you’ll make the kick.

Butker told Sports Illustrated

The Chiefs will need Harrison Butker’s expertise in tough moments to get back in the Super Bowl once more. Their journey starts in Brazil against divisional rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers.
