U.S. President Donald Trump was once again seen golfing. The 79-year-old recently played at the Turnberry Course in Scotland along with a special ‘Golf Force One’ car. This heavily designed car of his sparked some mixed reactions from fans on social media.

Trump is a huge fan of golf and plays whenever he gets the chance to do so. Given his status as the 47th President of the United States, he was this week given a special armored vehicle for his protection.

Dubbed as the ‘Golf Force One‘, the Secret Service would specifically design a vehicle for the ballistic protection of Trump. This vehicle would make its public debut this past weekend when Trump played a round of golf along with his son, Eric, at their Turnberry Course in Scotland.

Golf Force One is reportedly a Polaris Ranger XP. According to reports from experts, this vehicle is said to have similar features like “The Beast,” the president’s official limousine.

These security measures came around 10 months after a person tried to assassinate Trump while he was playing golf on a Florida golf course. He would hide near a fence near the 6th hole and wait for him to arrive. The man was later identified as Ryan Wesley Routh.

The US President was in Scotland regarding some work on a deal with the European Union. His trip to this course also comes a few months after it was vandalized. A group of activists would damage the course and use spray paint to spray graffiti on buildings.

The newly designed car ignited mixed reactions on social media. While some fans on X were stunned by the design and appreciated it, some took a swipe at the US President. One user wrote, “What a waste of money” while making their feelings known.

Check out that and some other reactions from X regarding Golf Force One below:

Earlier this year, Trump announced that he had won another Club Championship at the Trump International Course in Miami. He would later express that it was perhaps his ‘last’ win, hinting that he might be retiring from the sport.

Donald Trump accused of cheating while playing at Turnberry Course

Donald Trump would hit the greens of the Turnberry Course this past weekend. During his round, he once again got accused of cheating after a video of him went viral on social media.

In a video making rounds on X, a caddie could be seen dropping the ball for Trump. The caddie would walk ahead in front of the cart of Trump and drop it near the edge of the bunker. The US President would then get out of his cart and take a few steps towards the dropped ball.

It is not the first time Trump has been accused of cheating while playing a round of golf. In 2019, sportswriter Rick Reilly published a book titled, “Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump”, which featured several controversial stories about Trump and golf.

Trump once even claimed to have shot a low score of 70s at the Winged Foot. This course is said to be one of the hardest ones in golf.

In 2006, U.S. Open winner Geoff Ogilvy posted scores of 71, 70, 72, and 72 to win the event. Bryson DeChambeau in 2020 posted scores of 69-68-70-67 to claim the U.S. Open. Trump, meanwhile, claimed that he shot a low score of 70s at this course, something that has not sat well with the fans.
