Donald Trump seems to be relieving the stress of the presidential campaign on the golf course since he is well known for his golf prowess. if it wasn’t for that inch, the former US President might have made an ace by carding a hole-in-one.

A video shared by Donald Trump Jr. is making rounds on the internet, where he can be seen spending a sunny day with his father on the weekend. Trump hit a spectacular shot that almost made the hole of Par 3 surrounded by water and a big bunker. However, as he walked off the ball, he ended up hitting the flagstick and eventually costing him a hole-in-one shot

Oh my god it hit the pin!” exclaimed Trump Jr.

It’s quite evident in the video that the ball hit by Trump was just a few feet away from the hole, once it was zoomed in. Trump has also presumed that it was a good hit and would make the hole, that’s why he didn’t wait to see it land. Even though he could make an ace, Trump is counted among prominent amateur golfers with a 2.8 handicap at the age of 78.

It was indeed a good shot and not surprising to many, given that the former US President recently broke 50 with LIV Golf Pro Bryson DeChambeau. He impressed the entire golfing community with his skills and together with DeChambeau he carded twelve birdies and five eagles.

Donald Trump faces scrutiny over golf claims

As much as the businessman has received praise for his golf prowess, he also faced scrutiny over one claim he made last year about beating Phil Mickelson’s legendary record. He claimed that he won a Senior Tournament in Bedminster with a round of 67.

It was found to be eight strokes lower than the record set by six-time major champion Mickelson on the same course just two weeks earlier. Many presumed it to be fake and questioned the credibility of the video shared by Trump.

Regardless, Trump has drawn great appreciation and praise from many pro golfers for his amateur skills at the age of 78. Some even have called him the best player and would have been more glorious if he pursued this at a young age.
