FBI Director Kash Patel brought up the topic of the UFC training FBI agents while dining with UFC CEO Dana White. While there’s no deal in place, the scope of training field agents has generated attention. Now, ex-UFC stars Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Robbie Lawler have pitched in that they could be field trainers. As such, they have thus sent a public announcement offer to POTUS Donald Trump.

According to an ABC News report, Patel suggested UFC training on a call with FBI’s 55 field office supervisors. FBI trainees have physical fitness requirements that they must meet, based in part on role, age, and gender. Hence, Kash Patel went to Dana White. Trump is an avid combat sports fan as well. Now, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and recent Hall of Famer Robbie Lawler want in on the grind.

I think maybe they’re doing some stuff for the FBI, …[on interest in training the FBI] never closing any doors that could be opportunities…yeah.

Others in the roster lineup have also given positive reactions to such a training regime for the FBI. While field agents mostly disarm and disengage, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and his bodywork, slams to incapacitate, and such would be one for ages.

Rampage knocked out Ricardo Arona with an iconic body slam during his PRIDE FC days, only to rain down on him. It’s a moveset that has been etched in combat history; the raw destructive power would be unmatched in policing purposes.

On the other hand, Team Kill Cliff FC’s Robbie Lawler is a former welterweight fame and two-time Hall of Famer. His battle acumen and fighting ideas stand even today. Other than them, big names like Jon Jones have even often stated serving in lawman operator capacities. As such, it would be an interesting notion if Donald Trump did commission these two for training purposes.

Where did this UFC-FBI unison come from?

Kash Patel, the newly instilled helmsman of the FBI, has stirred a storm ever since he came onto the scene. One of his first acts was to call for the transfer of some 1,500 FBI employees from Washington to field offices. He also phoned homes to disburse them around to an FBI office in Huntsville, Alabama.

Patel telegraphed his plans to shake up the FBI’s operations in his book, “Government Gangsters.” He even called for moving the headquarters out of Washington, DC, and curbing a historic practice. There is an ongoing system that requires FBI agents who want to work in supervisory roles to spend 18 months at headquarters, gaining experience. But the most audacious stint had been linking up with UFC, of all things.

So how did it come to be? During the call, Patel hinted that Dan Bongino, an ex-Secret Service Agent and podcaster whom Trump had tapped to be deputy director of the FBI, is a big fan of the UFC. That’s how the idea to partner up with them came to be.

Can such a partnership seriously happen?

White has close relationships with members of the Trump administration. That includes Patel, who served in Trump’s first administration and lives in Las Vegas, where the UFC is headquartered. President Donald Trump is already a fan of the sport. He even attended a live PPV card in New York after his November electoral fallout.

White himself has been a three-time RNC and Republican victory speaker for the POTUS. Ex-special agent in charge of the FBI’s Newark, New Jersey office, Rich Frankel, though, told ABCNews that he does not want UFC taking over their gyms. The FBI has a way of doing things. Going to Trump’s “closest friends” and GOP taskforce heads is not the solution, per some people.

But after a recent UFC event attendance, Patel even said he is dead-serious about this partnership. A UFC-FBI partnership isn’t unrealistic at this point. Many in the UFC roster, including ex-BMF champion Justin Gaethje have also backed the president over the years.
