The transition of power from Donald Trump to Joe Biden in 2021 was a controversial affair over alleged election fraud. The political drama caused the Jan. 6. US Capital attack at Washington DC and many involved in the “insurrection” were arrested by the FBI over felony charges.
After coming into power again in 2025, Donald Trump gave Presidential pardons to those involved. Ex-NASCAR driver Tighe Scott and his son, Jarrett Scott are also included in the list of persons that were taken into custody to get released after the executive order.

The father-son duo was arrested in Pennsylvania alongside two other individuals in June. They were charged with two felonies and multiple misdemeanour charges over their involvement in the Jan 6 attack. Now with the pardon, they have no offenses on their names.
Tighe Scott raced in the premier NASCAR division for 89 events, including his debut race at the 1976 Daytona 500. His last race was the 1982 Daytona 500. Scott’s connection with Daytona does not end there, as his best-ever finish of P6 also came at the Florida Beach Superspeedway.
