Derrick Lewis made a dominant statement at UFC Nashville, finishing Tallison Teixeira via TKO in just one minute flat. The ‘Black Beast’ displayed his trademark power and silenced critics who questioned his recent form and consistency inside the octagon. After the victory, Lewis celebrated wildly, even taking a special phone call from the President of the United States.
Donald Trump has long been an avid fan of MMA, frequently watching UFC events and praising fighters like Jon Jones. He has also spoken highly of Khabib Nurmagomedov, admiring his dominance and discipline inside the octagon throughout his unbeaten career. However, Lewis, with his incredible knockout power and hilarious post-fight interviews, has become a fan favorite across all audiences.

Judging by Trump’s personal call after the fight, it seems even the President couldn’t resist Lewis’s unique charm. Recently, Trump announced plans to celebrate the 250th American Independence Day by hosting an UFC event at the White House. White has also greenlit the project, and top superstars such as Jones and Conor McGregor have shown interest in participating.
Jones, who recently announced his retirement, revealed he’s found new motivation to return to training and possibly compete again. Dana White also stated plans to build one of the most stacked and entertaining events in modern UFC history. Nevertheless, with Trump personally calling Derrick Lewis, it wouldn’t be surprising to see ‘The Black Beast’ featured on that card.
A Lewis appearance would guarantee excitement and potential knockouts, making the card even more thrilling for UFC fans worldwide. Being an American, Lewis fits perfectly with the rumored White House event that many believe will spotlight American-born fighters. However, since the event is nearly a year away, Lewis will likely compete one or two more times before then.
Derrick Lewis’s hilarious NSFW comment on his wife at UFC Nashville
After defeating Tallison Teixeira, Derrick Lewis celebrated in iconic fashion, sticking to his hilarious and unforgettable trademark post-fight antics once again. The heavyweight star took off his pants, drawing huge cheers from the crowd with his bold and comical gesture. He then performed his infamous ‘Pissing Dog’ celebration, leaving fans roaring with laughter and cameras flashing inside the arena.

During the post-fight octagon interview, Lewis revealed Teixeira had trash-talked him all week, so he responded aggressively. When asked about future plans, the heavyweight KO artist made everyone laugh by jokingly putting his wife on the spot with an NSFW comment. The unexpected moment sent the live audience into a frenzy, erupting with loud cheers, laughter, and non-stop crowd reactions.
I have been gone for two weeks. So, I want my wife next. It’s gonna be a lot of ground and pound. Ground and pound and she knows what it is.

Despite the fun and post-fight laughs, several fans expressed frustration over the way the fight was stopped by referee Jason Herzog. Many viewers felt the stoppage came too early, especially since Teixeira wasn’t completely out and still seemed slightly responsive.
Fans argued Herzog didn’t allow Teixeira enough time or opportunity to recover before calling the fight, sparking heavy online debate. Nevertheless, the Brazilian star illegally used the octagon to get back up on his feet. As such, some fans didn’t mind the early stoppage.
Regardless of the stoppage controversy, Lewis successfully entertained the crowd and extended his winning momentum with another highlight finish. The performance reminded everyone why he remains one of the most beloved and unpredictable fighters on the UFC roster today. It’ll be interesting to see if Lewis gets a chance to feature at the much-anticipated White House event next year.
