Looks like Donald Trump‘s recent confession might cost him a few voters as he admitted to not liking America’s most beloved sport, the gridiron. Ahead of the upcoming U.S. presidential elections, the Republican leader is portraying a masculine image of himself as an ‘American alpha male who doesn’t like football’ doesn’t seem to be sitting among.
The former U.S. President, who fancies himself as a Pro-level Golfer, revealed in a recent interview on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast the reason why football isn’t something he is too fond of despite it being one of the most popular sports in the U.S. and its enormous fan-following across the country.
"I didn't like it I played tight end. I could catch the ball good, but I didn't particularly like having some guy who was lifting weights all day long and came from a bad neighborhood and he sees me… they were tackling hard."

Trump’s words for players coming from a “bad neighborhood” in the NFL, the league dominated by African Americans, are widely considered ‘racist’ by the citizens on social media. They are also trolling the Billionaire’s apparent fear of tackles, especially as his conservative supporters claim, “You are not a man” unless you vote for him.
Donald Trump reflects on near purchase of Buffalo Bills
The former U.S. President might not be fond of playing football, but it doesn’t mean he lacks interest in the popular sport. And he might have been a team owner today if only Terry Pegula hadn’t outbid him. During his podcast interview, he recalled the time in his life when he almost purchased the Buffalo Bills in 2014 after making an offer of $1 billion.
It was before the Bills got their hands on star quarterback Josh Allen and were significantly struggling. Trump believed if he purchased the franchise, he could actually make a difference within the organization by revitalizing it.
Unfortunately for him, Pegula outbid him by $400 million, but despite that, Trump applauded the success the Bills have had since then, particularly in terms of drafting a franchise quarterback Allen in the 2018 NFL Draft. The 2024 presidential candidate may not have bought the franchise, but he continues to cheer for them.
