President-elect Donald Trump was once again spotted golfing. The 78-year-old was recently seen spending some time with his grandkids and playing golf with his granddaughter Kai Trump following his historic victory in the 2024 Presidential elections.
Last week, Trump overcame Kamala Harris in the election and earned a landslide win. This triumph saw him become the second President in US history to win two non-successive terms.
While Trump is known to be an avid follower of her golf, his granddaughter Kai shares the same passion for this game. In a post on X, the 17-year-old shared images of her spending time with Donald Trump with the caption, “Sundays with Grandpa“.

Golf insider believes Donald Trump’s election win could have significant impact on PGA Tour-PIF deal
A few days before his election victory, Donald Trump dropped a bold claim regarding the golf merger. While appearing at the Let’s Go podcast, the 45th US President claimed that if he became the President again, he could wrap up the PGA Tour-PIF deal in 15 minutes. Golf insider Daniel Rapaport believes that his victory could now have a significant impact on this deal.
In June 2023, the PGA Tour and the PIF shocked the world with the announcement of a surprise merger deal that would unify the game of golf. Since then, the two sides have been working to get this $1.3 billion done quickly. However, there have been several blockades along the way.

Rapaport pointed out that a deal of this size would require approval from the Department of Justice (DoJ). He would later reveal his conversation with Gabby Herzig of The Athletic, who broke down that a Trump administration would be more favorable to this merger than a Kamala Harris administration.
During the press conference of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, four-time major Rory McIlroy also spoke on Trump’s potential impact regarding this deal. The North Irish golfer backed him to “clear the path” for this deal and pointed out that with Elon Musk’s support, he (Trump) could in fact wrap the deal in 15 minutes.
