Le’Veon Bell was once regarded as one of the best running backs to ever grace the game. But after six full seasons, he found himself out of the NFL. Since then, he has become a social media personality and has taken a different approach to garner himself quite a bit of fame.

One of those methods was to align himself with fellow former controversial teammate Antonio Brown. The two have primarily focused on pushing their alternate news channel CTESPN with their wild theories. They delve into the conversation surrounding CTE and its impact on football players.

Sometimes they even joke about it, which ends up making their conversations viral on social media. Another topic both former Pittsburgh Steelers teammates speak a lot about is about politics. Both Brown and Bell openly supported Donald Trump during the presidential campaigns.

They even appeared at one of his campaigns, speaking to the Black American community on Trump’s behalf. But then Le’Veon Bell took it a above when he declared that he would leave the country if Kamala Harris was elected as President.

It is not known why he said that, but a legal battle has come to the forefront which could indicate why he said that. TMZ uncovered that Jada Bell, the NFL star’s cousin, had filed a lawsuit against him for allegedly raping her when she was a minor.

The former All-Pro had avoided appearing for the trial. But then after a judge ordered the proceedings to continue in Bell’s absence the jury awarded Jada Bell a $25 million verdict. Now, the 33-year-old retired NFL is trying to fight back.

Le’Veon Bell maintains his innocence

In the aftermath, Le’Veon Bell‘s attorney mentioned that the verdict is inconclusive considering the football star was never served any civil complaints or documents. The former Steeler added to that notion and took to social media to write this.

Being a black man and a Trump supporter at the same time, so many ppl wanna attack me .. lol like why tho??? I just don’t get it .. it don’t matter tho, we STILL GOIN UP

As soon as this tweet went live, fans came out in hordes to attack the Ohio native. Fans objected to his belief that he was being punished for being a Black man who also supported Donald Trump. But going by his recent behavior, he wanted to continue staying defiant.

You can’t stop God’s plan

This was his latest tweet in trying to shut down the hate he has been receiving online. It seems Le’Veon Bell believes he will come out a winner in this court battle. He is toeing the line his lawyer rode. He believes he has not done anything wrong. Moreover, he was not in Ohio when the alleged acts took place.

Striving for a career in a different contact sport

If this lawsuit is dismissed, Le’Veon Bell can look at starting off his interest in an alternate career. He has been looking at taking up pro boxing and has his eyes set on a bout with Oleksandr Usyk. For that reason, the former NFL star is training hard.

There is no official confirmation of the bout. But he is putting in the hard work training with Uriah Hall to get into boxing shape. Hall’s expertise in MMA, kick boxing and pro boxing will go on to help Bell build up the skill set needed to compete.

After Jake Paul and Mike Tyson‘s bout garnered a lot of attention, many former athletes are looking to go down that route. Both Paul and Tyson earned a lot of money through that Netflix televised matchup. With Bell a long way away from earning $45 million from his NFL career, landing a windfall from boxing will keep his books balanced.
